Hornet Driver...

Even A Blind Hog Finds an Acorn Sometime
Keith Olberman talks like I write: well organized, always passionate, often caustic, a bit convoluted (with phrasing Faulkneresque in length), and yes, I admit, right on target! The Boy King SHOULD hang it up and maybe go back to baseball, where I understand he enjoyed his singular successful attempt a being a grownup.
Continued, abject failure as the leader of his venomous little band of usurpers will only magnify the disgrace that he will come recognize and what we already know to be HIS LEGACY.
I know the Boy King won’t abdicate the throne – that would mean he finally got something right! My assertion is that he COULD know exactly what is the RIGHT THING to do – otherwise, how could he have avoided it so successfully, so often and for so long? It would have occurred randomly.

Nixon Versus Dumbya
This article can be summed up rather neatly:
Nixon, although flawed by his modest upbringing and unease with peers, was a driven and very intelligent man who did much for America, specifically with his China gambit in 1972; Bush, flawed because of his quasi-patrician upbringing and his lack of ethos and drive to actually become something worthwhile, is a man who has skated through life with no end-goal other than snorting coke and drinking till he puked. Then Dubya "found" Jesus. ("Jesus" in Dubya's case was probably Jesus Soliz "Chachi" Gonzalez...his mid-level coke dealer in Midland, Texas.)
Nixon vs. Dumbya: one had ambition, desire, drive, intellect, intelligence and purpose; one has hubris, blather, a propensity to bloviate and dissemble and enough character flaws for at least six Stephen King novels.
I'll leave it to you to try to determine which was/is which.

Tough Talk for a Sportscaster
Every time I come across yet another instance of the bombastic rhetorical grandstanding of Keith Olbermann, I am reminded that he got his start as one of the prototypes for the smug, smart-alecky sportscasters who try to upstage the games and events they report on. I am also reminded of his embarrassing departure from ESPN, largely over the fact that Olbermann wanted to move from Bristol, Conn. to NYC and didn't want to learn how to drive.
Olbermann's typically shallow, self-serving bombast ignores several key points:
1. Cheney will NEVER resign, so even if Bush would (he won't), we'd be worse off than we are now.
2. Richard Nixon resigned over his own legal culpability, not that of one of his subordinates. Furthermore, Nixon knew that, were he to be impeached and the contents of the miles of tape recordings NOT destroyed by his secretary before the subpoenas were brought down were to become public, he'd be utterly destroyed. Resigning was his best option. He didn't quit for the good of the country--he quit to save what was left of his legacy.
4. Nixon also resigned with the knowledge that he'd be succeeded by Gerald Ford, a loyal member of his own party. The idea that Bush would hand over the keys to the oval office to Nancy Pelosi under any circumstances is utterly laughable.
5. Many Republicans and Independents (myself included) agree that the prison sentence imposed on Scooter was excessive and unwarranted. His actions were deplorable, but they were also business-as-usual in Washington, on both sides of the aisle. Our beloved Bill Clinton pardoned a slew of friendly felons in his last days. Bush merely did it ahead of time, within the law, and in a manner that spared Libby prison without absolving him. The notion that Democrats don't do the same things is ludicrous. Furthermore, the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination--Guiliani and Romney--have both supported the President's decision at a time when dissenting with Bush would be of no real political consequence to them. That should tell you a lot about where the Right is on this issue.
I'm sure it feels good to Olbermann to appoint himself the moral voice of the nation, but this isn't Sports-Center. In the world of politics, this is all par for the course.

oh, yes, indeed!
..and in the spirit of John Wayne's words, but from my unfortunate point of view: "I voted for him. He's my President, and I hope he does a good job." He didn't.
Well Mr. Bush and Cheney. You have become very large figures in the world of politics and history. I can only hope nothing like either of you ever darkens America's light again.
You are not only a disgrace to our country, you are each a disgrace to your families...not that that matters...after all as long as you get what you want...what else matters.
Do us all a favor. Both of you resign and go into seclusion. Too bad America has not the courage to displace you both for the sake of all the good lives lost in Iraq and all the unseen blasphemies to justice and situational ethics on which you thrive. I feel the fool having voted for you. You've bloodied my nose which pales in comparison to all else you've managed to do.
You've served not the masses but self-interest and that of those who profit from your actions. Feel a sense of shame. You've earned it.

Have you been Buzzin' with the Bees ?
Ohhh, Hornet Driver flies an airplane. I guess that would be Hornet Flyer then, not Hornet Driver ? I don't think that is the correct usage of the word driver in that circumstance, is it now ? I'm IMPRESSED ! Wow ! Hey everybody, Bumblebee guy flies a plane !
I bet you hang around this site just to call K.O. and everyone else names. Real intelligent ! Did you learn that at flight school ? Again, Fly Guy, I'm IMPRESSED ! I went to work last night just knowing you'd be around to say somethin' to show me just how great you are. Well ya got me beat Yellow Jacket. All I got is a Cutlass and an Avanti. If ya doesn't know, that's an old Studebaker. Now those were cars !
I'll bet you watch Bill O'Rielly on Fox. Talk about whatever that term was you used to descibe Keith.
I don't always watch K.O. I've never been to this site before last night. I tuned in only because of what the Special Comment was about. It took a lot of guts to say what he did last night. Lot's of people in this country have been waitin' for someone to take the kid gloves off and that he did. I'll take Keith over Bill anyday. I've never heard Keith say the ignorant things Bill does almost every week.
Fly dude, you should Buzz Lightyear your Hornet over to B.O.s list. You can be with a crowd that likes to bad mouth ole Slick Wily and call everyone names together. It's about your speed, over there.
You know someday about 2036 or so an asteroid is gonna slam into the earth and someone from that site will say "it's That Da_n Clinton's fault" ! I'm sure you'll agree.
Make Honey not war
Al
