It's says alot about 'Merica
It says much about the ignorance and declining standards in America when you realize that the only two people in our "objective national media" actually speaking truth to power are a former sportcaster and a comedian. Without "The Daily Show" and "Countdown" it seems no one would ever question this administration.
Rhandi Rhodes, Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz and their contemporaries all help but it is truly the "national" outlets like Daily and Countdown where the masses can at least be approached. My only fear is that the more Olbermann presses Bush, the more likely his corporate Lords and Masters at GE are to pull the plug on his show. At least then we could find him on HBO along with Bill Mahr.
Oh, and Mr. Rove, I mean Anonymous, you chicken shit, post your name and be heard like a man. You have no right to be on any board if you are to afraid to sign your silly little Username. What are you afraid of? Chickenshit. The administrator should remove his comments from this board.

So much for the rant er commentary
Keith another great commentary however George Bush does not have to face the voters ever again and is a lame duck so I doubt he is really concerned about what the general populous thinks.
If you want him out of office the Democrats in Congress will have to bring charges and that is not happening. It is to their advantage to have him right where he is since they are looking towards 2008.
Like it or not what the President did with Libby was legal. Yes, it lacks ethics but there is so little of that in Washington in general and this White House in particular that this is just business as usual.
This President's legacy is just as tarnished as Clinton's. The only difference is Clinton knows it and is doing all he can to make his mark in his post presidency. Mr Bush Im afraid has no such insight and will take his deserved place as one of the worse presidents this country has ever seen.
We as a nation will survive I am confident of that. Just let there be a lesson learned. Take a very close look at who is seeking to be W's replacement. Yeah, not pretty.

Almost a Trifecta!!
Anonymous Anonymous, not the unclever anonymous Anonymouses -- he's here strutting his stuff. Then we have Hornet Driver -- a relative newcomer who has a Clinton fixation and claims to be a real-deal top gun. Uh-huh, right. Check out Garrison Keillor's "The Fine Art Of Lying", flyboy --http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2007/07/04/keillor/index.html?source=rss
And speaking of 'real-deals', we're all awaiting RealName to make his grand entrance so he can put us Salonistas / Saloniks (the boy has a real turn with the words) in our place. Gosh!! If you want a real good take on Scooter's story (what kind of man goes through life with the handle 'Scooter'???), check out the Rude Pundit's take -- http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2007/07/when-it-says-libby-libby-libby-on.html

Thank You, Mr. Olbermann
Thank you for bringing informed passion back to the news.
Thank you for talking up to us, and not down.
Thank you for giving voice to what the majority of Americans think, even if a minority of television says so.
Thank you for remembering what makes America special, and what makes her great.
Thank you for ignoring your critics (some of whom have posted here tonight, conveniently ignoring facts when they want just like what Garrison Keillor likes to call the Current Occupant)
Thank you for giving us one hour a day when watching TV makes us feel better, and makes me proud to be an American.
Thank you for reminding me why the Fourth of July matters.

Dear Mr. Olbermann:
Please don't fly in any small planes to Hibbing, Minnesota. Bad things seem to happen to people who tell the truth.
-
Watch the Video
Powerful as Olbermann's words alone are, they're even more powerful when you hear Olbermann read them. If you haven't watched the video of this Special Comment, I urge you to do so; it's up at crooksandliars.com.

Where in the phone book do I find "Guitarguy"? Yeah, I'm sure that's your real name.

Action vs. Words
I'd take to the streets against this administration to celebrate the 4th if I thought it would make a damn bit of difference. I am so beside myself with the actions of this administration, who again and again have shown themselves to be criminals. I feel powerless.

Always bringing up Clinton
You know, you Republicans always like to bring up Clinton's vices and corruption, but where was your blathering about justice and fairness when Republican Rutherford B. Hayes conspired to steal the election from Samuel Tilden? That's right, you was quiet as a church mouse!
Until you comment on the above, I accuse you of being a hypocrite and a liar.
(Or we could quit focusing on crimes of past presidents and get back to the current one)

Wow!
Watch the video. Just incredible. Finally! FINALLY someone says it out loud. OUT LOUD. You ROCK, Keith! Throw the bums out of office! All of them! BUSH AND CHENEY, RESIGN! NOW!
-
Crossing the street, not the Rubicon
Olbermann's piece seems overly dramatic to me. Resign? For this? There have been some pretty disturbing things done during Bush's terms, but what he did was legal, and no one's going to die because of it.
The History Channel just aired some episodes of its series "The Presidents", and I was stuck by how many losers we've elected. Some really horrible things have been done by our leaders, and yet we're still here. I don't know what to make of that, except to think that we will get past the Bush years, and eventually we'll be due another really great leader.

Scooter and the Commuter
Thank you, Keith for this special comment on the travesty perpetrated on the American citizenry by a man who is president in name only. George Bush is a liar, a crook, a deserter, a thief and a coward. And now he has shown just how corrupt he and his administration truly are. I say that as a proud veteran, having served 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, most of it working for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service.
Thank you, Keith for your accusations, all true and all grounds for impeachment. I only hope Congress will finally get the message. I have called my representative (Henry Waxman, thank god) and urged him to begin impeachment proceedings now, starting with Dick Cheney.
Keep up the good work, Keith. You are the best source of real news, other than the Internet(s), of course.
As for all the Clinton haters posting here... bite me.
