History and the future
A read of American political history shows that we've had some pretty bad leadership over the decades, as well as some good. Presidents have evoked the kind of hatred flung at Bush; presidents who've been canonized posthumously often fought bitterly with myriad critics and defamers during their administrations. Somehow, we've survived all that. But what is changing, slowly but surely, starting some the last century, is the erosion of Congress' role in government and the engorgement of presidential fiat power. This is dangerous and should temper any claim that, "We've been through this shit before, don't worry we'll survive it this time."

Keith- truth-teller
Olberman rates high for this most incisive denunciation of the Cheney-Bush cabal! How they strive to delimit our liberties. They approve of tortue through renditions. They want US attorneys to be partisan, going after Democrats, letting Republicans off the hook. They are anti-science.They favor the selfish interests. They would harm our Nanny State. They have unleashed anti-Americanism on the world stage. They ignored the levees and Katrina.Just as his father pardoned Wineburger and thus himself for Iran-Contra[ impeachable offense for himself and Reagan], he pardoned Scooter to keep himself at bay. This corrupt maladiministration will never rate above the lowest!

Impeachment of both Bush and Cheney is not really the answer
because our president would then be Nancy Pelosi. This may thrill the writers on this thread but it is not something I personally would want to see happen, for reasons to numerous to mention here. I say sit tight; November 2008 is right around the corner (sixteen months away).

Fear, Terror, Enemies
FEAR, TERROR, ENEMIES
A vocabulary of the above words are used by President Bush and his regime to decimate the very spirit that populated this country.
The population of this country is made up of peoples from all nations of the world, who migrated and still migrate to this land seeking a spirit of peace,
tolerance, justice and opportunity denied them in their countries. They hoped and thought they had left fear, terror and enemies behind them by coming here.
Now we are witnessing the Bush Clan, it's regime and corporate supporters reinventing and activating the very forces, again creating the fear, terror,
enemies that our forefathers fled from.
Our country was looked upon as a "Beacon of Hope" for the oppressed peoples of the world!! This "Beacon of Hope", the USA, is made up of scores of nations,
religions, languages, people of all ethnicities, which displayed great inroads into racial and religious equality, tolerance and justice, only to have the
Bush regime negate it all!!
Our nation, which professes to have the most powerful Army, Navy and Airfoce in the world; and a sonar system which can detect all ocean going vessels all
over the world; and a satellite system which monitors movements of countries all over the world, is accusing all other nations of attacking us. We are told
that these nations who are said to be contemplating attacking us, have no capabilities to cross oceans with Naval forces, nor Airforces to attack us from the
skies, nor do they have the technology to do so!! So what is there to fear?!
However, with the Bush gang advocating open borders, open ports, selling off airports and highways, having out-sourced the production of many of the needs
of our armed forces, etc. They make fear, terror, enemies a joke!!
Who is responsible for developing fear, terror and enemies?? YOU KNOW!!!
It's not too late to rekindle the "BEACON OF HOPE"!!!

KO's message
Even though Keith may not have the same number of viewers as FOX, many are reading his word's here on the Internet and will be watching him on clips on sites like C&L. His message is being spread as we speak.
How many people watched Stephen Colbert's performance live at the Washington Press dinner? Very few. I didn't even know he was going to be there and I was a fan. And what Colbert said wasn't reported on the news until much later AFTER the video was a huge hit the web. Then everybody on the MSM just dissed it and said it didn't need to be reported.
People that have never seen Keith's show and message are learning about it through places this. It will be heard.

inhaling the fog
With respect to the man, John Wayne died from the nuclear weapon remains in the ground at Utah -while shooting a movie. An acute form of planet raping.

re: resignation?
I wonder if Keith Olbermann has ever considered resignation (or therapy)? I have never heard such whining, such continual whining from anyone in my entire lifetime. It's one thing to wear your politics on your sleeve. It's an entirely different story when one is so obsessed with hate toward another human being that they can no longer be objective about the things that come out of their mouth. It's also a very sad implosion to watch!

Attention Hornet Driver
I assume you are referring to the pardon of Mark Rich. If so, you would be wise to do a little more homework.
Wait, I'll do it for you.
It is customary for outgoing presidents to pardon people convicted of various crimes. The standard procedure is for the outgoing president to receive recommendations for pardons, then make his selections.
In the case of Mark Rich, the recommendation for pardon came from a Mr. I. Lewis Libby.
Nest time, do your own homework. I don't have time to do it for every neocon uninhibited by facts.

In the proper order please
Yes Bush should resign or be removed from office for abetting and concealing the criminal actions of Libby, Cheney and Rove. But before that, it's imperative that Cheney should resign or be forced from office for his misdeeds. The damage he's done as vice president pales to what he would do as president.
None of this will happen as long as the congressional republicans and crypto republicans continue to support the demands of party and faction over the need to support the constitution and the rule of law.

In defense of KO
"It's an entirely different story when one is so obsessed with hate toward another human being that they can no longer be objective about the things that come out of their mouth."
If you are a Bush supporter, I understand that you might not understand the feelings a majority of people in this country now feel for him, let alone Cheney.
But, if you want to see obsession, just mention Clinton (Bill or Hillary) to anyone you know that calls themselves a conservative.
In fact, many a Bush supporter carries the obsession with Clinton to the extreme whenever ANY transgression of Bush is pointed out. Within two sentences, the phrase "But Clinton...what about that?" Bill O'Reilly showed a enlarged picture of Chelsea Clinton in a regular top with a bra and a chill in the air (yep, there was a hint of bumps visible) and showed it to compare Chelsea's "outrageous" behavoir compared to Jenna Bush's escapades and both should be more circumspect. Yeah, right.
