Loving LA
The best part about LA, is that all those who hate LA have never really been to LA. They get their images and ideas about LA from the same industries they despise: film and tv. They are stuck in some strange LA artificially made bubble. Then when they go to visit, they think Disneyland is in LA, so much for geography.
My favorite is all the Northern Californians, where I live, who have never stepped in LA ranting and raving about something they do not know about. Thinking the Bay Area, (same goes for Seattle) is the "it" city. Sometimes, Angelinos, don't even care about the rivarly that is self created by Bay Areans and Seattle people. They just think it's quaint.
