I fail to see why right wing regressives are always conflating the Iraq war with 9/11. I fail to see why right wingers aren't mad at the present administration for not going after the actual people that perpetrated 9/11. George Bush said he didn't spend much time even thinking about Osama Bin Laden.
As far as Abu Ghraib, why not be able to judge for yourself what the pictures mean. Actually the people who are most responsible (the higher ups) have not been punished. They are the ones who should have been punished instead of England and Grainer who were guilty but also used as scapegoats. These low level people were doing what they were told to do. I mean, Cheney and Bush and Gonzales pushed not to pass the McCain torture bill. And then Bush puts a caveat on the bill saying in essence that he doesn't have to follow it. And why is pointing out these truths considered anti-troop rhetoric? There is/was obviously an environment that allowed for these acts to take place. It started from the top down. And people should be outraged that our government condones torture at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo. And because the terrorists use awful and disgusting tactics is reason for us (US) to do it also? Why should we become what we abhor?
Some people have brought up the NSA spying program saying they don't care if they are listened to or not. How many civil liberties are you willing to give up because this government wants to scare the crap out of everyone. Everything they do is conflated with 9/11. I find this very disturbing and don't really understand why regressives think this is okay.
The cartoons are something I don't want to view. I don't really understand why some are so upset that Salon didn't print them. To me there is no link between the photos and the cartoon.

I doubt the ring-wingers complaining about your publishing more Abu Ghraib photos were opposed to the graphic content in Ken Starr's report on the Monica Lewinsky scandal so damaging to the Clinton Administration. And I'm pretty many of these complainers as well as those implicated in the military, from the lowest to the highest levels, confuse the Iraqi people with 9/11. After all, their president as much as told them so.

For once Treat all the Members of the Administration as though THEY! - not Senator Feingold, not Michael Moore & the French, not Kofi Annan & the NYT! - ...as though They! were your HEROES! and They! had the Wisdom, the Clarity, the Guts and the Universal Knowledge their (Sacred) Position requires. In order to Try to Stop arguing with each one of their assessments; instead, to show Courage and to fully Support Spiritually all their Efforts, and do it for the sake of the Troops on the Frontline, the American People, Right and Left, and the Well-Being of the World as Whole!
The President got it right - and you should trust his Speeches (listen to them carefully with Love, not Hatred!) - when he defined the True Face of the Enemy behind the Tragedy of 9/11! Osama Bin Laden is a Puppet! and The Godfather for that specific Moment! But he is not alone and the Cause behind him is much bigger than just the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or Few Islamic Extremists! That War has been around for a long Time, 9/11 made it open and all those who chose to be Silent or Supportive of UBL or even Saddam against America have become their Allies because somehow they were already Part of this State Level Organized Crime's Club! And a huge chunk of the UN is part of that Club! Even if it's only Spiritually - yet not openly! but they have unmasked themselves anyway, it's too late! Plus at the UN, Spiritually goes with Materially: Big Contracts, Big Businesses, Big Kickbacks!!! To cover their crime, they use the popular but fake argument of the Battle of Minorities against the Superpower of the Whites (and those Jews)! BUT This is Racism too + The result is "Let's starve the Iraqi People during Sanctions, let's Starve the Palestinians during Arafat etc etc!!!". Talking of Morality and this Beautiful World! Tell me why Kofi Annan has to charm and Seduce such an Ignorant Thug such as Ahmadinejad while he was in NYC and was lecturing America??? He made me Throw up, both of them!
The Right share the Left's concerns but they do it the right way, they get it the right way and they fight it the right way! Not like Courtesans, like KINGS! In its Spiritual Definition, i.e. like Jesus or the BUBBHA! Money is not Dirt, we should Deserve it, that's all!! It shouldn't be by enslaving or abusing or stealing... Capitalism is not equal to Theft! What the UN does is Theft! GWBush and his administration and all his Supporters amongst the American People had it right when they dared to declare war to the UNITED NATIONS! Not directly, but if you couldn't see that The United Nationalist Arab League + their French & Co Supporters had declared War on America Pre Iraq Invasion, you belong to those who have missed that WE are (now also) Fighting the UNITED and CORRUPTED HYPOCRITICAL ANTI-SEMITIC NATIONALIST/SOCIALIST NATIONS! (remember Mr Galloway?)
If the Muslim world had succeeded in fighting his own internal war with his own Despotic Religion; against his own extremists Thinkers (far-left/far-Right seculars); America and the World wouldn't need to get involved in their Mess! The KEY place is the UN! Then the European Union! But the UN would be enough and the first! Who "Will shake this Body" and send all these thugs to GITMO? Transparency of Governments and especially that Institution should be a Good Start, an easy way to avoid WARS! We would simply have to change the Internal/International RULES and CHANGE few faces!!!
The best way to judge if someone has reach the LIGHT or is still trusting a fake friend, is to ask their positions on the Israeli-palestinian conflict and TWO: are they Pro-America? THREE: Do they Trust Kofi Annan???
