"More than a body blow"

Will the Bush team be able to shake off the Libby indictment? Experts measure the impact of the case.

State's Evidence Anyone?

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems remarkable to me that none of your experts suggested the possability that Fitzgerald might be willing to offer Libby immunity, at least to some of the charges, if he's willing to turn state's evidence. The number of charges would definately give the Fitzgerald the opportunity to offer immunity to, say, the obstruction and perjury charges and hit him with the presumably lesser false statement charges. Given the degree of professional secrecy that Fitzgerald has shown, anyone who claims to know what he's planning is probably wrong, but this seems a logical possability to me.

Fitzgerald has wooed and won an interesting bunch of admirers

If Fitz can get this group of wildly divergent voices to sing the same tune, then Libby's only hope is to cut a deal. Rove should not be so snug in his slumbers, and even Cheney might be wishing for a quick coup de grace, rather than having to make public testimony, under oath, in a court under Fitzgerald's sway.

The overture has ended. The opera begins.

Yes, we will forget all of this

The pendulum is already swinging back toward the other direction -- and the collective American gaze is following its path away from the truth (their heads SPINNING in the process).

If history is a teacher, Bush will get away with this and much, much more. Why? The principal architect of the Bush administration survived the first punch -- Rove will see the second punch coming, and he is likely practicing his dance moves as we speak.

If Rove had gone down on this one, then I would say otherwise.

The End Of Days

At the end of his term look for the passing out of Pardons fast and furious from bush to all of his cronies.

Lets hope the people and the press do their jobs next election, seems both were asleep at the wheel on the last two.
