Clinton derangement syndrome, North Korean strain

Sufferers of this incurable illness twist Bill Clinton's moving rescue of two journalists into something ugly

The letters thread is now closed.

Sigh

No, Bill will never be credited by people who likewise can't let Ted Kennedy do a good deed without flogging him with Mary Jo.

No need to go all Freudian and blame sexual envy. Partisan competition sufficiently explains opportunistic digs ready-made to be lobbed by those, who imagine their digs cut, when, in truth, they're merely shattering the glass house of the GOP - again.

Prez Bill a jewel on the Planet

Luckily for the sanity of those of us without Ghoul Blood in our veins, Prez Bill is admired and beloved all over the Planet. His brilliant practical compassion makes the non-Ghoul agog. He's always been about service to We The dear Sheeple.

These malignant and dismal corpsebreeders are enough to gag a maggot.

Do other countries have these slitherers who re-eat their own vomit? Or are only we fetidly afflicted here?

Laugh At CDS

Thanks, Joe. The release of these women was such good news and how it happened might have had something to do with the letter Clinton sent to Kim Jong-il upon the passing of his father in 1994.

But, in reality, who knows-no psychics here-I'm just glad these Americans are home. Finally, there's a bright spot in the news, rather than the incessant GOP circus of infidelity, fear mongering, bigotry and sexism, being espoused over a wide range of issues. I enjoyed seeing Hillary laugh when she heard Bolton's comments. I laughed when I heard some of the jokes, knowing full well that forgiveness only extends to members of the GOP. (they are given special dispensation to sin, per C street.) Well, you have to laugh at the double standard and the fact they actually believe it.

Congratulations to Justice Sotomayor!

Cliinton likes the spotlight just like tiny turd

while Al Gore can be counted-on to inject his employees into harm's way.

Saturday, August 8, 2009 05:03 PM

@ carrisima -- No, a GOPer would never do something stupid

like elevating a tinhorn rabid rat just because Al Gore somehow found it advantageous to let his employees stumble into harm's way.

We should have bombed the little turd's facilities long ago, shut down his rooster capabilities, short-circuiting any further chest-puffery and sabre-rattling.

Mr Bill and N. Korea

For the poor girls who worked for the mad man Algore I'm glad they made it out so very soon. They are most lucky they have not been raped or made sick or poisned etc. My Concern is 1st what in Heck was Mr. Algore's reasons for putting these 2 innocents in harms way for no good reason. That has not been examined yet. and 2nd, this all went way too fast with Mr. Bill becoming a too smooth Hero. I want to know WHAT DID AMERICA GIVE AWAY TO THE COMMUNIST NORTH IN EXCHANGE FOR THESE WOMEN.????? The photo of the NK God of sorts was too damn big for having gotten nothing and I'm sure what ever it was it isn't a couple of subscriptions to Playboy and a visit from the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

Bill Clinton walks on water; Bolton charges he can't swim

It's probably in here somewhere already, but I haven't time to read all the letters: last night on Maddow, I think, Hillary was quoted as having put down John Bolton: "If Bill Clinton walked on water, Bolton would complain that he can't swim." Not original with her, but a goody.

The Right-Wing Media Is So Predictable

On August 4, 2009, I posted on my political web-site the prediction shown below.

Thank you, Joe Conason, for confirming everything I said, three days later, and providing so much supporting Chapter and Verse.

CJP Posting on August 4, 2009:

"North Korean media say Kim Jong Il has pardoned two American journalists and ordered their release during former President Bill Clinton’s visit, AP reports.

Matt McKenna, spokesman for former President Bill Clinton, announced at 7:27 p.m. ET: 'President Clinton has safely left North Korea with Laura Ling and Euna Lee. They are en route to Los Angeles where Laura and Euna will be reunited with their families.' "

This is Terrible News for Conservatives. The Cons will be sorely distressed that we did not nuke North Korea back into the Stone Ages before securing the release of these two American journalists.

What appeasement we were guilty of. What weakness shown by Obama. What secret deals we must have entered into.

Listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Savage, Coulter, and the entire Right-Wing Media Klan tomorrow and you'll learn what an awful political disaster was committed by Obama and the Clintons. The secret hands of Jeremiah Wright, William Ayres and Professor Gates can clearly be seen in this back alley deal.

Today, Laura and Euna are free again. Tomorrow the Right-Wing Lunatic fringe takes to the airwaves yet again. Be sure to tune in to Fox News and all the other Far Right Crazies to get your red-hot serving of the latest Right-Wing Lunacy.

That dude

There's just something about the guy that drives people crazy. But I wouldn't worry about him though, in the end he is always the last man standing.

Bill Cllinton - Diplomacy Personified

I am so proud of him -- he makes us proud to be Americans. Can you imagine a GOPer doing the same thing? I can't.

Saturday, August 8, 2009 07:57 AM

@-- dtalenri -- can anyone name a "charitable people in the Far East"?

I agree with you -- What were they thinking?? Americans have to learn to be more respectful, less arrogant and inquisitive on unfamiliar foreign turf. Known heartless abusers of human rights, Asia has a long way to go.

Now I'm thinking of the 23 year old soldier capture in Afghanistan a couple weeks ago -- I hear no mention of him in the news anymore -- I don't think there has been a dramatic military rescue since Jesse Jackson got that black soldier out of Iran back when. Am I correct? Can we strive for saving our capture soldiers voluntarily serving our country to keep us safe? I also have a child serving in Afghanistan.

Arrianna's Clinton Derangement

I believe that if you live anywhere near a computer, you will know that Arianna Huffington hates Hillary Clinton. That is why it didn't surprise me (I felt embarrassed for AH) to see the misleading headline about President Clinton bringing the two American journalists home from North Korea.

What applied when I was growing up still applies here.....if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all....and particularly don't rain on the parade of two young journalists who were rescued by a past President of the United States.
