Bipartisanship is for suckers

Hey, Democrats -- Republicans have no intention of addressing America's healthcare ills. Any reform is up to you

Pantanal

Anecdotal rehearsal rarely resolves an argument - but what the heck.

Once upon a time I lived in the country that harbors the green hell that you use as your "nome de guerre" sorry if I brutalized the French. A country with socialized medicine.

A surgeon screwed up an operation and killed a woman - her husband went beserk. Another doctor tried to get the surgeon out of the hospital asap but he was too late. The husband shot and killed the surgeon outside the hospital in the street.

I came to know if this because the surviving doctor delivered my third son not long afterward and told me the story.

You see - I told you anecdotes don't help.

At any rate, I am glad you are still with us maybe you can return to that wonderful place and get a free lobotomy with no paperwork!

BTW - Corumba e talvez a cidade mais bonita e agradavel que conheco - sera que voce conhece?

An idiot continues to write

Sophmoric and idiotic. This guy should be thankfull there are so may emotional people devoid or reason or logic or he would be living on the streets. If you truly want to destroy everything that made the USA the great country it was (and I am using past tense on purpose) continue to follow the ideas and policies of Obama.

In 20 years when you are starving and begging for world aid remember you did it to yourself.

Go-it-alone doesn't work

I have to disagree with the premise of this article. While it's admittedly possible for the Democrats to push through health care unaided, I don't necessarily think that means they should. Americans have slim patience for out-and-out partisans, and Obama & co would be ill served by either the appearance or actuality of partisan governance. If you need proof, just look to current perceptions of the last administration.

Its the federal plan option that poisons the well

If everyone ends up transfering to the federal option because of employer opt out, then we have defacto nationalized health care.

Once the fed is paying all the bills it is inevitable that waiting lines, rationing, wage control, provider shortages, and big brother meddling in personal behavior will follow.

Why can't people understand that government monopoly is the ultimate monopoly of all?

Its too much power gathered in the hands of too few people. Corruption, waste, indifference, and resistance to reform will follow.

Screw 'em. Take public funds,

Chuchu you are an idiot. No. screw you! It's not you d^& money. WTF don't you understand? Democrats are stupid criminal retards who have no respect for the rule of law or other peoples property. They think they can just take it because they feel like it.

Like this Un-American POS

"This Is Why Republicans Need To Be Exterminated

Why bother treating these scum like human beings. They should be exterminated like the subhuman dogs that they are.

One Republican. One Bullet.

Save America - Kill A Republican.

If they keep standing in the way of progress, then the rest of us will have no choice but to destroy them once and for all."

SHUT YOUR MOUTH

Cuchulain2007,

Shut your mouth. You have no standing to ask anyone to answer your democrats cries and lies.

Democrat criminals created this crisis with their criminal behavior and they needlessly got thousands of AMERICAN SOLDIERS killed with their treasonous words and support for the enemy. That is how diabolical and desperate these criminal frauds wanted to take over complete control of it all. And you have the nerve to blame Bush for years of democrat lies and sabotage to retake the House and the Senate. You want to reuse those lies over and over again as an excuse as to why Obama SUCKS at his job? Democrats needlessly killed AMERICAN SOLDIERS they want the job so bad and have done nothing but prove why they should never ever be given any positions of responsibility or running this Country ever. You dirty bastards are not even worthy of being ass gaskets in a rest area toilet seat out in the boonies.

Do the world a favor and open your mouths take a can of raid and swallow. Then you will forever get credit for solving every crisis in this Country. The very ones you created in the first place.

Strong-arming the "Blue Dogs"

We expect the Republicans to delay and obstruct any meaningful health-care reform. They've been doing it since the Truman administration.

It's the so-called "Blue Dog" conservative Democrats who are the real problem. However, if Harry Reid was really serious about forcing the health-care bill through over Blue Dog resistance, there's no doubt it could be done.

Stripping recalcitrant Democrats of their committee assignments and chairmanships, relocating their offices to remote broom closets and sending the message that they will receive no support from the party in their re-election efforts would get most, if not all, to become enthusiastic supporters of the bill.

All it would take is political will -- something sorely lacking in Harry Reid.

@RobLoCo

I'm guessing that you are:

A) Just posting parodies of bat-shit crazy wingnuts, and don't really mean any of it.

B) It's not a parody; you just forgot to take your meds.

Aside from the fact that the Dems didn't undermine the troops, Bush sent them there to be killed without any legitimate rationale. It was the warmongering right that got them killed, not those of us progressives who had the sense to know the invasion of Iraq was pure idiocy and would lead to massive death and destruction.

We predicted that. We predicted the horrific repercussions that actually ended up happening.

We all know about the countless statements by Bush administration officials predicting "cake walks" and "the war will pay for itself". The neocon idiots were so consistently wrong about everything, so tragically, woefully wrong, what else was there for them to do but get jobs from wingnut welfare outfits like the Moonie Times, the National Review and the Weekly Standard.

Some more predictions from wingnuttia blogistan:

Read It And Weep

Fester at Newhoggers links to a set of right-wing bloggers' predictions for 2003. It's pretty stunning. For instance:

If we go into Iraq, how many casualties do you expect to see (on the side of the US and our allies)

John Hawkins: "Probably 300 or less"

Charles Johnson:"Very few"

Henry Hanks: "Less than 200"

Laurence Simon: "A Few hundred"

Rachael Lucas: "Less than three thousand"

Scott Ott: "Dozens"

Glenn Reynolds: "Fewer than 100"

Tim Blair: "Below 50"

Ken Layne: "a few hundred"

Steven Den Beste: "50-150"

More from another pre-war interview with Tim Blair:

"John Hawkins: If and when do you see the United States hitting Iraq? How do you think it'll work out?

Tim Blair: It all depends on Iraq’s fearsome Elite Republican Guard. Why, those feisty desert warriors could hold out for minutes. Dozens of US troops will be required. Perhaps they’ll even need their weapons."
