The losers who gave us Sarah Palin

The GOP operatives who championed her should be held accountable for endangering the country

My dear kristinp,

YO! FOOL!

I hang with the progressive, socialist, libertarian and anti-war crowd.

You hang with the fascists and warmongers.

Right?

Compared to Biden, Palin is fairly liberal.

Biden - for Israel attacking Iran.

Obama - against Israel attacking Iran.

Who is wearing THEM pants, FOOL?

If you love war so much, enlist.

And dubya....I would like to see him and everyone North of and including Karl Rove RETURNED.....to a war crimes tribunal in Nurenberg, or maybe even better handed over to the Iraqui justice system.

Dear something stinks

Actually, I am 18, maybe, you know channeling stocks.com. What kind of whine do you recommend with your "cheese?" BooHoo!

"I hang with the progressive, socialist, libertarian and anti-war crowd."

Wow, Stinks, a crowd that includes libertarians AND socialists? Obviously you have no idea what libertarians and socialists believe.

@ usxpat

I am going to regret this - I should have retired for the night.

Listen US - there was a 40 year period when the Dems controlled Congress - then there were other times when the GOP had control - both parties are complicit in the creation of our current condition.

And I appreciate your efforts to make mankind safer from natural dissasters.

You make a leap in your assumption that I like guns, war, and aggression - an unfair accusation on your part.

However, I do understand the meaning of the concept of Jihad - God's war, God's warrior. There is no compromise with those dedicated to Jihad because they are dedcated to the death of the infidel - infact they are taught that they will provide a pathway to heaven for the infidel if they kill him/her in God's name. (I don't think the infidel gets the 72 virgins though - its a shame to not get all the blessings when you are martyred)

So what do I do with people who want me dead just because I exist? I am forced to defend myself and I would rather do so on their turf than mine.

I disagree with your premise that "a terrorist cannot work in a vacumn, they need support" - have you forgotten the guard killed at the Holocost Museum in DC or the military recruiter shot dead in the south around the same time? What kind of support did those terrorists need?

Would you people PLEASE stop feeding the troll!

That's the whole reason why he's here, to get your nuts up! The fact that he thinks a woman who can't even answer basic questions should be running the country speaks for itself. Yet another reason why Salon needs to back off of Palin, so her supporters will disappear into their own little isolated onclaves.

@ something_stinkds

Mr. Stinks,

It must be me and my stupid, antiquated need for civility but when you "lay down your powerful rappin'poetry on our heads" with the phrase "YO FOOL" - I just tend to write you off as not having anything serious to say.

That's why I don't tend to read your entire commentary.

But listen dawg - when you be nice to me like you be nice to yo momma I be nice to you bro and return to readin' yo silliness.

@ fightthetheocracy

Hey Fight,

Its the troll here - why don't you like the theocracy?

I really enjoy a good-hearted debate but it seems like you advocate my absence. All that would do is allow you to preach to the choir - what fun is it if all the posters on Salon agree with each other?

Where is your spirit man?

Oh, just in case you are bi-polar, you know - the right brain / left brain thing, I think you should have used your left middle finger to hit the "e" instead of your right ring finger to hit the "o" when you spelled "enclave".

I feel for you man - my spell check sucks too.

Oh, and I'm straight so I don't care where your nuts are.

@Uncle G

You said:

Third, he has spent more money in the first 140 of his first year in office than all other POTI combined since Washington. Is that a logical response to a national debt of $11 trillion?

That's absurd. His first budget was 3.4 trillion. Bush's last was 3.1 trillion. The stimulus package was for less than 800 billion. That makes roughly 4.2 trillion. Even if you stick him with the entire TARP package, which Bush began, that's another 700 billion. Which makes roughly 4.9 trillion. We can even throw in some of the Fed's expenditures, even though Obama has no control over them. As in, the Fed can spend money without Obama's permission, and he can't stop them. He can ask them to stop. But he doesn't have the authority to make them stop.

That said, let's stick Obama with, say, two trillion from the Fed's own bailout. So, we're up to roughly 7 trillion.

Now, think about it. Bush's eight official budgets total roughly 17 trillion, and that doesn't count the invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan. We've spent more than another trillion on those wars. So, conservatively speaking, Bush spent at least 18 trillion dollars in his eight years.

Tell me how Obama has spent that much, PLUS, as you say, more than all of our presidents combined since Washington . . .

Can you do that? It will take some amazing math to accomplish that feat. I guess they call that Rovian math?

;>)

Now, on the fact that each president inherits debt. Certainly. But put it into perspective. Carter handed Reagan a debt of roughly 1 trillion. It took 39 presidents to get to the trillion dollar mark for our national debt. It took one president to triple that amount. Reagan. Dubya inherited roughly 5.6 trillion in debt from Clinton, and doubled it. Obama inherited roughly 11 trillion. He's inherited the worst economy of any president since FDR. Those are facts. It's not wrong at all for Obama to remind us of those facts.

Bush constantly tried to say that he inherited a Clinton recession, even though it started in March of 2001. At least Obama is telling the truth . . .

The Troll

You know, carrying on a "dialog" with a troll is like arguing with a crazy person. "Uncle G" could be posting from the common area of his insane asylum for all we know. It sure sounds like it. If someone sounds either crazy or moronic, why bother?
