.....stop obsessing about Alaska's governor and how incompetent you believe she is.......and start paying attention to our current President and House of Representative leaders (Pelosi, Markey, Waxman, et al) and how not just incompetent, but utterly dangerous, you'd KNOW they are, if only you paid some attention to their details of destruction. Have you read anything objective about their "Cap&Trade" legislation? Do you like it? Its effect on job-killing and money-losing from our wallets? You think our economy's in trouble now? How's it going to be if CAP&Trade is passed by the Senate and signed by President Hussein? You really should study up on it. Here's a tip........Democrats seem to love the socialist policies of countries like Norway......but Joe, how do you think Norway stays economically afloat? They drill and mine the living daylights out of their resources. Yes, that's the only reason their socialism works. You Liberals really are clueless about economies in general, and ours specifically if you think Cap&Trade, tax hikes for universal health-care, more power to unions, etc.......can actually help our economy become more vibrant. That's just amazing to think that way. Oh, maybe you're not thinking about it.......too obsessed with trivialities. Jeeezus, you are pathetic.
Bill Kristol's track record mirrors Dick Cheney's - ENOUGH SAID.
Sbourg, be patient. I know you want Joe Conason to do what you want right this minute, but he's a strange guy -- he has his own ideas and schedule, and your desires aren't uppermost in his mind.
Yeah, hard to believe, but it's true.
That a major political party would nominate someone who was incompetent, that is a problem. That so many incompetent folks get into office, that is a disaster for the American people.
There are so many folks in congress that are bungling, inept and useless, Palin is just another small timer in an ever-growing list.
Hopefully by next election, she will be a minor footnote in American political history
Check this out: "Teen on ecstasy killed man, Oakland cops say" in Salonista hometown paper! But wait, there's more! In the comments section, homeboys debate the finer points of drug overdosing! Is this a workforce employers would die for, or what! Don't delay: go before they take it down to destroy the evidence! www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article/comments/view?f=/c/a/2009/07/11/BAL118MJE8.DTL
is like trying to rollerskate uphill.
You'd think they'd want the best for this country since they live here as we do.
Their whole concept escapes me but it's like talking to the wall.
Loons like Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Waxman, Markey will be around forever but we can wrest power from them next election.
Even blacks admit to me, "We've got trouble."
Sorry,
But it's righties who don't know anything about economics. Your economic philosophy is what got us into this mess. Unfortunately, both parties practice it, at least from roughly 1980 on. Though, of course, the GOP is far, far more aggressive about it, and the Dems occasionally wake up and remember who they are.
As for Norway. Their environmental protections are far stricter than ours, which, along with their fantastic social services lead to better longevity, healthier lives, lower infant mortality rates, lower rates of STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Quality of life indicators are far higher in Norway than here.
And they have roughly twice as much tax as a percentage of GDP than we do.
Your "argument" makes zero sense.
Norway has both a carbon tax and Cap and Trade, and it's weathering the global financial meltdown better than we are. Its safety net is the envy of the world, outside of Scandinavian countries that have the same thing . . . People IN Scandinavia routinely see themselves as the happiest people in the world.
Americans? Not so much.
Forbes recently name Denmark the best country in the world for business. It has a very similar system to Norway's. High carbon taxes. It's far greener than we are. And businesses love it there.
Try again.
Yes, I’m looking forward for another Liddy Dole debacle.
Wasn’t she the savior of the GOP party in the late 90s?
In the polls, she came in second, after Bush no less.
Where was she in the 2000 primaries?
Where is she now?
No matter how many keys to the Kingdom you think you may possess, some of life's mysteries remain locked behind closed doors and baffle even the initiates of the temple itself! Or, as Sigmnud Freud is reputed to have said, "What do women want, [expletive deleted], what do they want!" Let's say you're sitting on enough cash to cover the rent and put some soup on the table on a regular basis, what do you do with the rest of the disposable income? How about a slightly used war hero of a failed colonial misadventure! Why not! Who knows what doors that will open; the possibilities are endless! But look out below! The former "Masters of the Universe" have been marked down for clearance! Maybe it's time to trade up!
In "Faith of My Fathers" McCain "bragged" that his ancestors fought for Roman Catholic kings in Europe - against those who eventually fled to America to receive in Covenant, American Exceptionalism. Raised Roman Catholic, McCain went on to fight for the pope in Indochina throwing away five jets, including the one his martial incompetence lost over Hanoi. It was his ejection which gave him the injuries the ignorant ascribe to torture by his captors who dubbed him "Songbird" for the tactical intelligence he willingly betrayed to receive medical attention at a hospital for his self-inflicted wounds. Perhaps the odd Boy Scout in the Hanoi Hilton might have splinted him up better?
What a dreg adulterer Cindy "Mafia Princess" Hensley acquired in McCain.
