@ OleHippieChick

"Galling that Kristol the prognosticator, with his head still lodged firmly in ... junior high, has a job at all. Even on their deathbeds, they'll never admit they were wrong."

You are 100% on the $$.

Not a single neocon has or will ever admit they were wrong to drag the country into the Iraq disastrous. Even with more than 4700 young American solders dead and over a $trillion and counting wasted. I remember back in 05 Bill Safire - a founding father of the zionist neocons- wrote in one his poisonous columns in the NYTimes, when the number of American killed in Iraq was going up by dozens every day and it became clear there was no WMD in Iraq, why is the big concern about 2500 american killed in Iraq when that number does not equal the homicide death in LA every year.

The neocons blamed everybody from Bush, Rumsfeld, Tenet,to the generals in Iraq.

Do you remember how they attacked Rumsfeld after he was kicked out in 06 and never said a word about the chief architect of the Iraq invasion: zionist Paul Wolfowitz.

Come on, Joe

I agree that she's shockingly unqualified, and the GOP should have had better sense then to allow her to be their VP candidate. It was irresponsible, and would have been disastrous for the country. But suggesting that there be lawsuits for their irresponsibly poor judgement is like suggesting that we sue everyone who voted for G.W. Bush the second time around. Freedom means freedom to make stupid choices. Luckily, the American people recognized it, and the ticket met it's deserved end.

"Charging" responsibility

It's clear that the charge would be made in the court of public opinion, not in any federal court

Well Said!!

It's high time someone gave a succinct and true account of this situation. I think if I hear or read one more comment claiming that Sarah Palin is bright or a contender in this arena, I may become physically ill.

Well, there you are...

It seems to moi that the real terrorists and other assorted "Evil doers" are in fact the republicans. I'd vote for a wedge of Jarlsberg before casting a vote for this woman. She was dangerously unqualified for such a job and would have served as nothing more that a puppet for the GOP mullahs while they finished the destruction of our national credibility. But hey, we'd have a third war by now.(Iran) These people are desperate, and will stop at nothing to preserve their twisted view of life in this country. It'll take this country, and the world, a while to get over the madness of King George(Bush, jr) and his ilk. Wake up boys and girls, it's 2009, not 1959. The world has evolved and you haven't.

I'm Balack, and that's how I see it...

Trish72 (with a star) has concrete between her ears

and is typical of the know-nothing libs who have no idea of what's good for them.

They were enthralled with the charismatic rock star who was going to do all things good for America.

And warned about his background: nothing would change except the change in their pockets.

Wright, Ayers and Rezko meant nothing.

Check Google and see how Obama's policies parallel those of Karl Marx.

Some dodoes confuse Marx with Stalin but Marx was not the executioner, just the theorist, a century earlier.

Sarah has significant experience compared to Obama.

Kristol and Palin

It should come as no surprise that Bill Kristol would enthusiastically endorse an unqualified know-nothing like Palin. Let's not forget that Kristol was chief of staff to Dan Quayle, the empty suit who occupied the Vice Presidency under the first George Bush. Neocons like Bill Kristol are political parasites, leeches with a long history of attaching themselves to easily-manipulated ciphers like Quayle, Palin and George W. Bush, and then riding them into influential government positions where they can implement their noxious policies unrestrained by their clueless patrons.

@MollyDunlop (with a star) -- Republican strategy backfired

if that indeed was their strategy.

Sure McCain could not win, stroking Obama and shutting down any criticism from the right.

But I saw passions ignite when Sarah joined the ticket.

Not just another female (like Ferraro) but a competent entity (even though the left will never admit it, even when their comfortable American lifestyle is restored.)

Full employment and the entrepreneurial spirit will be a reality when we stop mimicking California.

And mitigate the threat of state-run European-type socialism.

The problem with taking Sarah Palin's base seriously is that whatever she does they applaud.

There's no scenario in which she comes up short. This owes to the view that admitting error only benefits your enemies. Given such a mindset, no wonder the Republican Party went off a cliff.

Sarah Palin is not the person to bring the GOP back to the center. GWB had a devoted inner circle, including Karen Hughes and Karl Rove, who shepharded his campaign to victory first as Governor and then as President. By contrast, Palin has no trusted inner circle of such seasoned and savvy pros. She operates on her own.

Victor Davis Hanson wrote, "She could use her time in the wilderness the way Nixon did." Huh??? She's not planning to spend her time reading and reflecting. She's quitting to cash in on her 15-minutes of fame. But that's OK, folks like Hanson will be able to spin that and make it about "hatred" for this poor, beleaguered woman.

Here the Right is projecting it's own feelings onto the Left. I don't know anyone who hates Sarah Palin, rather she's an object of ridicule. Big difference.

@Balack Obama -- Took the words right out of my mouth

Dangerously unqualified refers to the current sometime occupant of the oval orifice.

@soopie -- Don't feed the trolls

But you lefties give grist for the mill when you start pointing toward "unqualified" office seekers.

Golly

Man up, dude. So you never had a good looking girl in high school. So you got beaten up a lot. So what?

The solution isn't to support a girlie man for prez, and froth at the mouth because Sarah Palin is popular.

To me, a loser is....

To me, a loser is someone of little accomplishment trying to elevate themselves even to the low level of pundit by tearing at someone who is trying to serve her party and country. You people try to think up the most names you can call someone, while Palin is out there fishing, playing with her kids, still running a state, and defending her honor. I can spell loser...

and it doesn't start with a "P."
