The loudmouths on Fox, when slinging scat at Democrats, use hyperbolic talking points repeated ad nauseum to convince the chowderheads who view them that hate and fear of the opposition is not only justified, but necessary.
When the president is half-black, that fact is at the base of the fear they promote, but they can't use race-baiting so they associate him with Muslims, whom most of the Fox viewers seem to think are terrorists. Another Jew in the senate? Can't go after him for his religion, so it's best to label him insane.
I wish there was some way to ignore Fox minions so they would just go away. But they won't -- they just keep getting louder. Thank goodness for Jon Stewart's talent for using their idiocies against them.
Boooooo! Un-American!
Bush's stolen election....yayyyyy! It's all good!
Republicans, it would be funny if it wasn't scary.
Though I had heard of Al Franken and saw some of his work on SNL, I had not at that time read any of his books when I one time listened to his radio show. Maybe it was the songs about the regular members he interviewed, maybe it was his talk with his friend that loved Rush Limbaugh, or some other interview--but quickly I became hooked. Of course, the first time I had even heard of Joe Conanson was his regularly being a guest on Fridays and the spoof game format.
I listen now to other "progressive" hosts, but no one (in my opinion) has as good a show as Al Franken. When he was in Spokane, Wa (my home town) I showed up to see his show live. Seeing it live I came away how quick Franken was--there are a lot of things that come up unscripted in a radio show and I was impressed by his intellect and grasp of different issues.
Some times I do not agree with Franken. He is my conservative than I am and at times supports the established opinion. I think he is much like Barak Obama, more conservative and mainstream than I would like but personally very impressive and certainly a deep thinker that can communicate.
