Rush Limbaugh is still a big fat idiot

And so are his Fox News pals, who lambasted Sen. Al Franken's "stolen election"

Just more leftwing Corruptuion Obama legacy

He didn’t win in anything. Typical left wing garbage. Get enough dead people to vote. Get close...go to court … shop liberal judges...change vote count... win. The leftwing democrate Marxist election process. Stalin couldn’t even have thought of that. Now that the taxs payers are funding the likes of Acorn and other leftwing voter fraud groups I guess this will be the norm in our country now. It is now known as the banana republic of America with Frankin and Obama as poster boys.

The left couldn't win anything legally with only 20% of the people in this country dumb enough to agree with them.

You forgot this...

"Limbow" aka Limbaugh is also certifiably drug addled...his expansive girth reminds one of the scandal in major league baseball...the juice has gotton to the brain...

@effinayright

Crickets? Oh my child. I live in the UK so I don't have much exposure to the US networks, but even I know that MSNBC has at least one right wing anchor with his own show: Joe Scarborough of the (frankly, appalling, Starbarf sponsored) Morning Joe. You should get out of your Fox box more. Or are you so far out you think a guy like this is some kind of Trot?

Moving on...

Who could have guessed that Franken's candidacy would come to this? I bet even he never imagined he might be the hinge upon which Obama's trickier policy propositions swung. Note that I say "might". I'll be watching with interest.

@terkoy

Are you saying Franken actually tried to criminally assault Hannity? It would be great if you could post a link supporting your allegation. When I googled "Franken Hannity" I, um, didn't find one. Can't imagine why.

Weirdo + Weirdo = ?

To me the big take away here is the Emmett Tyrell evaluation: "He was weird on 'Saturday Night Live' in the 1970s, on which he popularized a goofball character named Stuart Smalley, a self-help guru who repeated over and again, 'I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!' … My guess is that the Stuart Smalley character is the essential Al Franken, a weirdo." What I see here is that Sarah Palin obviously studied the Stuart Smalley character and assimilated that groove into her own political persona. What has worked for her is obviously "weirdo." The wacko right wingers love that kind of weirdo, but Al Franken, the real guy, not the comic persona, is dangerously weird. Wait a minute, that doesn't make sense... and if that doesn't make sense, the Fox clowns don't make sense... But do they ever?

Rush is a multimillionaire because one can never underestimate the intelligence of the American public.

This fact is proven many times over in our choice of TV programs, the existence of the Republican Party, the popularity of professional wrestling, and the twice-elected George Bush.

His critics

I pity Franken's right wing critics because they can't use the strongest ammunition available with which to attack him. If the following wiki entry is correct he is on record as saying that he believed Colin Powell at the U.N.

That makes Franken a complete pratt.

There was plenty of data around that wasn't hard to find that comprehensibly refuted Powell.
But then having made that error of judgement, Franken only went and compounded it with an even more serious error.
He supported going to war.
But even if everything Powell had said about Saddam's weapons was true a cause for war still did not exist because Saddam's Iraq did not present a clear & present danger to America. And we know that Iraq did not either present a clear & present danger either to any of its neighbours because ALL of them Turkey, Iran, Syria, Egypt did not wish to see Iraq invaded. Only opportunists like some of the less wise Kurds, Kuwait and of course Israel wanted such an event to happen.

Then it gets worse.

As is so typical of a spoilt and corrupted liberal class Franken supported a war that he wasn't going to serve in but was going to be fought by people who often hold views that Mr Smart Arse had enjoyed taking the piss out of in his comedy routines.

Coupled with that if Conason is correct he is married to a Catholic. Great,

That's the religion addled with sex abuse scandals. The same religion that doesn't believe in the use of condoms and is against abortion. The religion that covered for the Nazis and ran a rat line after the war enabling them to escape to South America.

Just what the Democrats need. Another smug, too pleased with himself, cake and eat it liberal. Watch this sob, chances are he'll be up Obamas arse like rat up a drain pipe.

It would be nice to be proved wrong but he's joined a party that's so corrupted it's by now probably beyond repair. The fact that he might later have become a vocal critic of the Iraq War is fuck all. It's easy to jump ship when things go tits up. Making the right call to begin with is what really counts. And he didn't do that.

Franken has been a vocal critic of the Iraq War, and opposed the 2007 troop surge. However, he didn't criticize the invasion at the time, a fact he often admitted, with regret, on his radio program. In an interview with MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough,[52] Franken said that he "believed Colin Powell", whose presentation at the United Nations convinced him that the war was necessary.

Spot on

Excellent article Joe. Franken is now my senator and every derisive dig at him by these professional liars are absurd and baseless. One would hope these harpies in the wingnut media would pull the mirrors away from their faces.

This is news?

We already know Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot. We already know that Al Franken is a big fat idiot. Why does this article even deserve to be printed?

And speaking of stolen (read: "bought") elections, let's mot forget the questionable elections of 2000 and 2004.
