Rush Limbaugh is still a big fat idiot

And so are his Fox News pals, who lambasted Sen. Al Franken's "stolen election"

The letters thread is now closed.

@cabdriver -- ACORN presents to you their darling Al Franken

The whiny witches in the Republican party mourn a sad day for America when ACORN holds sway with their latest cheap shot: delivering another lefty loon.

As it is written in the Tao Te Ching...

were there no terkoys, there would be no Tao.

@marik77 -- Giving Franken a chance is like giving O'Bama

a chance: their reputations precede them. Franken has shown he's a lunatic shyster who isn't above stealing an election with the help of an expert and O'Bama sat in Wright's church for 20 years sopping up hate and disdain for America.

@Angelaweb2 -- Bush let the votes be counted legitimately

where Gore wanted a more circuitous method of discounting overseas military votes (which would probably be Republican) and then the Florida Supreme Court and the US Supreme Court. So whatta ya want, anyhow? I know, I know, Bush bad. His legacy will be protecting us from another strike.

Of Rush and Al

Here's one registered Republican who considers Rush Limbaugh to be a disgrace to the Republican Party, the United States, and the human race. This bloviating blowhard specializes in two things: the destruction of straw-men born out of his own warped imagination and flawed perception of reality and vicious ad hominem attacks, often in tandem. Anyone with the least training in logic or debate can detect the flimsy or non-existent reasoning behind his diarrheal diatribes.

I don't know Al Franken all that well, but enough to appreciate his intelligence and sense of humor. My only advice to him is that when he visits his constituents, he devote at least two-thirds of the time listening to their thoughts and ideas rather that burdening them with the beltway perspective in which he will be immersed in Washington, DC.

Too many politicians become Limbaugh-like when they go back home, thinking their constituents want to hear their tired and hackneyed ideas. Listen to the people!

@bizona -- I'm sure we'll witness democracy with another

squirrel in Congress. But watch out for 2010 when terror sweeps the Dems as they are flushed out of their cushy environs.

Franken and Fox

How ironic that Joe Conason spends several column inches whining about Al Franken being ridiculed on the same day that Sarah Palin is drummed out of office by incessant, vile and obscene personal attacks and frivolous charges of ethics violations. If Republican operatives had any cojones they would use similar tactics against the like of Bill Richardson, Davis Paterson, Jon Corzine or any of the 20 some-odd other Democrat governors who at some time in their life may have worn a jacket with a Nike logo.

Anyone seeking a career in politics is either a power addict or nuts. I have lost all respect for the political process and those who wallow in it. Who in their right mind would subject their character and family to such bile.

This is bottom feeding at its best.

@DennisI59 -- Minnesota didn't elect this fool

cuz they have elected many smart people including Pawlenty. This election was delivered by a pro who has a sterling record for knowing how to steal elections. Ann Coulter wrote an entire column about him. Minnesotans elected Coleman if the truth be known.

Al Franken

I wonder if Al will continue making USO appearances.

It's nice to see Fox News(sic) getting what it deserves.

Joe Conason is still a gay, lying weasel

acorn registered tens of thousands of illegal aliens to vote for that big fat lying pedophile franken. in some districts there were hundreds of votes more than registered voters. there were literally hundreds of irregularities throughout the entire state, all were for the benefit of the big fat idiot franken. since minnesota is so close to chicago, how many dead democrats voted? most likely between 50,000 and 75,000.

thousands of Republican ballots were not counted and thousands of military votes, which are historically 70% Republican, were not counted. if the election were reheld today, and only fingerprinted registered voters who actually were Americans were allowed to vote, and the ballots were counted by an independent group, franken would lose by between 100,000 and 200,000 votes possibly more.

franken is such a crook, he will fit in with obama perfectly.

@ bhill1967

Actually, you are full of crap.

The people who voted for the Independent candidate were generally moderate liberals who were uncomfortable voting for Franken due to the success of the Republican smear campaign against him.

Man,

Mr. Limbaugh sure touches nerves; but all I ever read of him is name calling. What are his actual views? Why is his audience so large? Since he must disagree with most of those who post here does that make him loathsome. If he reperesents half of the nation, should the nation just split apart? Do the folks posting here really understand what he is trying to say? Or is it just the other half who do? You know, the half that actually has functioning brains.

rockybalboa

Calling Joe gay doesn't really mean anythig to our side since we don't have problem with gays. As for your accusations of Franken being a pedophile, I assume you can back it up with something.

Friday, July 3, 2009 06:07 PM

Franken the Freak satisfies all the libscum with his illegality

Just the sneaky type of crap Dems are known for. Now if we could just find that birth certificate...

Friday, July 3, 2009 06:13 PM

Palin: small government, support for the troops

All things that are anathema to the Dems.

Friday, July 3, 2009 06:16 PM

You know that old saying...

...that funny people have to be smart. Well, Al Franken is quite likely the most intelligent member of congress. I so much look forward to his great intellect being injected into that not-so-smart body, and for him, a progressive, but really a man of the people, to help figure out how to get us out of the mess that the previous administration got us into. I am so excited, and I'm betting that he will be the ONE to not cave into pressure in the service of getting re-elected. Love you, Al. Love, love, love you.

Friday, July 3, 2009 06:25 PM

@charbroiled -- '06 Dems were going to fix it, then O'Bama

was going to fix it. Unemployment would not exceed 8%. New predictions are 11-1/2% by Dec. 31. Guess he'll continue to spend our way to prosperity. Healthcare and cap and trade should lower our standard of living measurably.

Friday, July 3, 2009 06:33 PM

I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!

Al Franken is funny and smart. See Air America - or listen, rather. For great comic relief reread, or read "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" again. I think this is great news that is will be in the senate. Too bad he has to work with Democrats, who have such a strong overriding penchant for shooting themselves in their collective foot. I hope he lends some backbone to the "liberal party". You go Al!
