The dumbing down of the GOP

Why aren't more conservatives disgusted that their party nominated a person devoid of qualifications for the vice presidency (again)?

The letters thread is now closed.

the dumbing down of the GOP

Have Americans completely forgotten Obama has no experience to speak of? Palen has more experience than Obama, she has executive experience; as governor, she's accomplished

"change" in Alaska that even Biden acknowledged. She gets things done and she has the track record to prove it. On the

other hand, Obama went to fancy schools. Americans need to choose the candidate based on more than IBS. We're at a point where We Need Leaders Who Can Get Things Done! McCain-Palin

are true "change agents", they walk the talk.

@Hhatchet and Luminesce

I'll ask a serious question Hhatchet. Can anyone out there direct me to what Barrack Obama's actual law school and college grades were? I am willing to be educated on the point. Can anyone point me to a single case he won as an attorney? I am willing to be educated on that one too.

Luminesce, Senator Obama's Spartan baby attitude is beyond morally reprehensible. Can you condone it? Seriously. Answer that question and none other.

The Empress Has No Clothes

Thanks, Bob Beckel. The media seems to be intimidated because they have been critized for being crtical of Palin. All we can hear is how she stood up to Biden. Did we expect her to faint? It took a republican, Bob Beckel, to say it clearly. The Empress(hope to be)has no clothes.

The dumbing down of the GOP

Here in Texas, the term "maverick" refers to a seriously lost steer. McCain may fit the definition of "maverick" after all.

Joe Biden did NOT Misquote the Constitution!

"The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided." Section 3, Article I

To whom it applies: Please stop saying Joe Biden misquoted the Constitution regarding the legislative role of the V.P. As I've posted above, Article I (as Joe Biden said) expressly describes the V.P.'s role in the Senate. If you're going to be snarky and condescending at least do some research first. Or is that too "elitist"?

Hey Bigguns

You reminded them chicken hawks just in time for Iran and Georgia, too. They can go play army for the next 100 years and come home with mangled bodies and minds in 2110. Won't be any jobs anyway and schools will be abolished.

Obama's grades?

Obama was the president of the Harvard Law Review does this answer your question regarding grades? The Harvard Law Review the most prestigious and cited reviews of Supreme Court cases in the world.

Saturday, October 4, 2008 08:23 PM

@cherise

No it does not. There are a number of ways to get on a law review. Even Harvard's. So my question remains pending. But like I said, I am willing to be educated on the point.

I think all you pinheads who revel in your ignorance and think intelligence is overrated should give up your computers and cabal TV's and distain the use of modern medicine and all the other inventions made possible by geniuses at liberal universities like MIT and Berkely and oh a place called Harvard-have yah ever done heard of it wink, wink, giggle,giggle? LIve like the Amish. At least they walk the walk and ride the cart.

Ask yourself the same Q Re Obama.

Hahvad magna cum laude

Obama graduated magna cum laude, which apparently puts him somewhere in the top 20% of students, according to Harvard (see link below). We have McCain graduating near the bottom of his class and Palin attending 5 or 6 colleges before getting her degree.

Not sure what point you are trying make here. By and large I don't really care, except at the extremes. Harvard and West Point have reputations for rigor and quality.

maxnyc is one of the few brave ones here tonight questioning Obamabots' BIG LIE

And, to da poyson who couldn't dare to directly address Zoltan Newberry, I can tell ya Zolt don't bite. It is not enough to slap Barney not so Frank on the wrist, or even the ugly Chris (what a misnomer!) Dodd for that matter, and then get on with things.

What you need to do is take a page from MAXNYC, and honestly look at the horrible consequences of the rhetorically nice but fundamentally flawed idealology of big government fixing everything.

The big lie is the rubbish Obamabots like Nancy P keep repeating. The big lie is that this economic disaster is the fault of the Bush Administration. The big lie is that our economy has been pushed to the brink of collapse because regulators failed to regulate.

Liberals are cynical manipulators. They have no interest in preserving our nation's freedoms and prosperity. No, they are just interested in preserving their power, and will gladly throw our economy over a cliff if that's what they have to do to stay in power. They will go to every length to try to hide the fact that it is THEY who insisted on subprime lending, and it is THEY who constantly backed their generous friends like Mr. Raines and Ms. Gorelick who ran Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac into the ground.

I find it incredibly disturbing that they refuse to follow a train of thought to the logical consequences of the rubbish they espouse. Don't they realize that when you abandon common sense and promise impossible give aways you place our country and all of humanity in danger? Progressive politics, socialism, collectivism, redistribution - whatever you want to call it - is based on fallacy. It doesn't work and over and over it has caused tremendous displacement and suffering. I guess the Obamabot Nation does't care to think that hard or look that hard at all the corruption and waste which is wrecking our nation. It boils down to yet another example of the horrible consequences of human hubris. It is arrogance, plain and simple.

I hope maxnyc is right about Barry 0's potential to grow. I don't think so, Max. The man cut his teeth with ACORN, an organization which teaches that their 'progressive' ends justify just about any means. He really has been very close to Billy Ayres and he really was a pillar of that hate filled church for 20 long years.

This is a man we don't really know. He was elected editor of the law review, because he has a knack for being popular with guilty white liberals, and there are no published works by Obama to be found in any Harvard Law Review. His grades and papers at Columbia are unavailable too. So what we actually do know - the One Hundred Million Dollars he dished out with Ayers, the 20 years with Jeremiah Wright, his looney Communist mentor in Hawaii - what we do know is very alarming. This guy who may become President could never pass an FBI background check. Obamabots don't care. He passes inspection with Hugo Chavez.
