At least not for the next month. The GOP isn't going to win this year's presidential election. Not by a long shot. The McCain/Palin ticket is circling the drain - I've seen exactly ONE McCain/Palin bumper sticker and I live right in the middle of Texas - add that to hammering media coverage, reflected daily in the continually updated electoral-vote prediction maps (even the map from (I am a)Dick Morris), and I think it's pretty clear that the ticket is doomed. Doesn't mean we're out of the woods where stupid is concerned, though.

Over the next 4 years, America can be reminded in tactical ways that smart counts for a lot and that looking like a nation of fat, lazy, dumb-asses isn't doing anyone any good. I strongly suspect that NRA Barbie will "rear her head" again and win a seat in Congress at some point - we won't have seen the last of her come Nov. 4th. If we do the right things during these next 4 years though, maybe the collective voice of the coherent and informed will dampen the rambling from the rest.

1. I watched the complete debate and at no time did I ever see Sarah Palin to anything but absolute respect for Biden and she was respectful when Biden referenced his family's tragedies. What I did see was Biden show disrespect for Sarah Palin's remarks in several instances during the debate.

2. Sarah Palin is ready, willing, able, and experienced to be an excellent V.P. to McCain. And, she is eager is assist him. Even wanting to campaign in Michigan, despite that campaign funds are running short and McCain is compelled to change some previously set campaign stops. And, Sarah Palin volunteered during the debate to go to Michigan with her husband Todd and campaign there.Among her established accomplishments, Palin has a degree in journalism, has worked in TV journalism, has been a successful Mayor, and is a successful Gov. of Alaskan with a previously unheard of 85% approval rate among her constituents. We need to look at the credentials and motives of any who might say Palin is dumb,inexperienced, and not able to perform the tasks of V. P.

ONE OF THE GREATEST PRESIDENTS OF OUR TIME, HARRY TRUMAN WAS A HABADASHER FROM SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI WHEN ROOSEVELT CHOOSE HIM AS HIS V.P. RUNNING MATE. ROOSEVELT KEPT TRUMAN IN THE BACKGROUND AND NEVER SHARED PRESIDENTIAL MATTERS, INCLUDING WORLD WAR II STRATEGY AND COMMUNIQUES. AND, WHEN ROOSEVELT SUDDENLY DIED, THE WAR IN EUROPE WAS ENDED WHEN THE GERMANS SURRENDERED. BUT, THE COLD WAR WITH RUSSIA WAS BEGINNING AND THE WHOLE OF EUROPE WAS TORN UP AND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WAS VIRTUALLY WITHOUT THE NECESSITIES OF LIFE. AND, WORLD II CONTINUED, BECAUSE THE JAPANESE WOULD NOT SURRENDER. AND, HARRY TRUMAN HAD TO BE A "QUICK STUDY" AS THE NEW PRESIDENT. AND, IT BECAME INCUMBENT UPON HARRY TRUMAN TO MAKE THE DECISION TO DROP THE BOMB ON HIROSHIMA. AND, WHAT A HORRIFIC DECISIION FOR ANYONE TO HAVE MAKE AND CARRY THE BURDEN OF. NEVERTHELESS, HARRY TRUMAN'S ACTIONS VIRTUALLY ENDED WORLD WAR II AND CAUSED THE JAPANESE TO SURRENDER.

While Harry Truman was a wonderful President, in actuality, as Vice President, he actually had less experience, training, and knowledge for the job than Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, Sen. McCain's Vice Presidential running mate.

3. You bet the voters are angry about the economy. And, Fox News Bill O'Reilly is not alone in wanting to seek prosecution again (D) Barney Frank and his co-horts for outright fraud in misleading U.S. citizens to believe that Freddie Mac and Fannie May were not bankrupt when he, Barney Frank & other Dems well know how bad the situation was/is.

4. The political group with the most power, money, and voice in this election is the Democratic party. There is absolutely no question. And, the political group that pretends itself to be weak and under attack, opporessed and treated with great unfairness is the Democratic party. This is an "AGE OLD" strategy used to "VANQUISH THE ENEMY". And, any thinking American can and should realize this.

Polls don't lie and polls show Sarah Palin won the Debate despite that the Democratic had an Obama supporter, Gwen Ills, moderate the Debate between Palin/Biden. While Moderator Gwen Ills, has a financial vested interest in the outcome of the debate and in the outcome of the election because Gwem Ills has authored a book scheduled to be in bookstore at the time of Obama's inaugration as President of the U.S. And, of course, if Obama wins the Presidential election, he becomes inaugurated, and Gwen's "Break Through" book about Obama's successs financially benefits Ms. Ills to the tune of about $350,000 or so! So, you tell me which political party has the upper hand, especially since the Dems also have the left wing media, rich left wing celebrities (i.e., Oprah Winfrey), and seemingly unlimited power and funds available.

Hang on RightinMissouri. We got your coded message and help is on the way. Just keep writing those nasty comments to placate John and Cindy until we get there and free you.

- Gwen Ifill was so terrified of any remote hint of "pro-Left" bias that she fell down on the job by not demanding that Palin answer the questions she was asked rather than that synthetic "I'm jes' gonna talk to the people" rap. So you Right-Wing trolls w/your "She's secretly pro-Obama!" whispering campaign once again managed to stifle any dissent or disagreement;

- "Harry Truman was a Haberdasher" is as big a spin job as "Lincoln was a railsplitter" or "LBJ was a schoolteacher". By the time he was picked as Roosevelt's VP, Truman had been an artillery captain fighting in WWI, a local and state Judge during the 1920s and early 1930s, a member of Missouri's "Pendergast Machine", and a two-term US Senator - in other words, his career more closely reflected Barack Obama's than Sarah Palin's.
