The dumbing down of the GOP

Why aren't more conservatives disgusted that their party nominated a person devoid of qualifications for the vice presidency (again)?

The letters thread is now closed.

Kerr is funny

While the repugnants talk about how bad the media treats Gov. Palin they never mention that people are actually trying to kill Sen. Obama. He has not only had numerous death threats but racist were caught headed to Colorada to kill him.

This man shows leadership everyday he stays on the campaign. He risk his life to serve. While we know the democrats have their issues too it is nothing like the "dittohead" repugnants.

Remember when the Bush administration continued to tell the American public that all was going well in Iraq. All the up to 2005. The Fox and Limbaugh dick suckers were telling us that the liberal media was not telling the American public the truth about the good things happening in Iraq.

Then when the Repugnants lost the house and senate guess what they lunched a "surge" in the midst of all the good things that were suppose to be happening in Iraq. It took another 2000 troops to die before they got rid of Rumsfield and tried something different.

Now fast forward to the economy. Bush, McCain, Fox and Limbaugh have been telling the American public the economy is just fine. America is doing just fine they told us, we are not in a reccession but a "down turn" and the economy is "fundamentally sound." Then after we have to bail out all the CEOs they tell us the economy is going to hell in a hand basket.

How can anyone belive these GOP fools? They will lie even if it means troops dying or losing your retirement. Sarah Palin has proven not only is she dumb as Bush but she is just as devious. We cannot afford to put another person in office who does not read nor pays attention to details.

Finally, back to racism. Racism was a product of rich elitist using common whites to fight blacks. When blacks and whites first came to this country many were free and most were indenture slaves. As the population of blacks increase (in many southern states blacks were on the verge of outnumbering whites) to keep control over the blacks elite whites empowered poorer whites by putting them incontrol over their black slaves.

Poor whites would move from being overseers to owning their own slaves. Thus when Dredd Scott case was made law that no black man had any rights that a white man had to respect racism became and instituionalized law of the land and common white people begin to belive no matter how educated, skilled, good, nice, honest or religious a black person was any white person was better then that black.

Along comes Gov. Sarah Palin and the modern day GOP party. Only the repugnants could make a black man going to Harvard, becoming the first black to head the Harvard Law School, being in the top of his college class, becoming a community organizer, taking care of his family, being faithful to his wife, becoming a US senator, raising over 200 million dollars, beating one of the best political familiies (Clintons) and now leading a experienced war hero in the polls a bad thing.

For this man to accomplish all he has with a name like Barack Hussein Obama, being black in America and with less money then JOhn and Cindy Mccain is phenomenal. He has to know how to budget, build a coalition and organize. He has to be a great leader and stratigist to be able to beat so many "EXPERIENCED" politicians.

I agree

For the last three presidential election cycles we have seen the republican party stoop so low in the campaign out right lying about there records policies and apponents . I don't understand why the religous right appove of that kind of behavior they can't be that truly ignorant but I guess a woman's right to choose homosexual unions and stem cell research are more important than loss of jobs soaring . Ideficets millions without health care. I feel america is on the brink of disaster two wars, occupation of a country means surge we are winning the wars with having won it, I am confused that moderate republicans don't rise up and do something but I guess the ignorant wing of the republican with rule for a long time.

Idiocracy

The guy who doesn't know about 'the email' wins the election. Palin's daughter gives birth and names her kid after a soft drink or a snack chip. I've already started looking for the time macheen, you betcha.

The GOP Hypocrites

Lets see, Cindy McCain wears a 300,000 dollar outfit but the media and John McCain say that Obama is an elitist. John McCain cheats on his wife after she has a terrible accident, calls her a cunt and divorces her but some how he has more integrity then Obama who is celebrating his 16th year of marriage to his first and only wife.

John McCain was almost last in his graduating class but somehow he is more capable then a man who becomes the President of the Law school at Harvard.

John McCain lied to a pastor when he asked if he felt comfortable in the "bubble of silence." He lied when he told reporters that it was safe to go shopping in the green zone in Iraq. He lied when he told America that Sen. Obama wanted to teach young children sex education. He lied when he said the economy was fundamentally sound. He lied when he said none of his advisors were getting paid by Fannie Mae.

He has lied numerous times but somehow it is Obama who can't be trusted. LOL! Great joke.

Liberal Democrats are dumb if not insane...

The definition of insanity is repeating the same failed action and expecting a different outcome.

That applies perfectly to the liberal Democrats.

They see a government solution for every perceived or made-up problem.

There is nothing they think the government cannot do better for people than the people themselves.

Of course, this is the absolute opposite of everything that makes America unique in history.

It is our liberty, our innate rights, protected FROM the government by our Constitution that allows us, less than 5% of the world's population to outperform everyone else to the point we produce nearly 25% of the world's goods and services.

The downside of that liberty is unfairness and uncertainty.

It is because of that unfairness and uncertainty (what we normal people call opportunity) that the liberal Democrats want to destroy what has made America great.

A perfect example is the mortgage crisis.

Liberal Democrats decided they would use the power of government in the form of the Community Reinvestment Act and agencies like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to do some social engineering.

They forced mortgage lenders to lower standards (isn't that what liberal Democrats always do?)so people could get loans that would not qualify otherwise.

It is as if they believed homeownership is a civil right rather than a privilege that is earned.

This, of course, distorted the markets, led to the housing bubble, the crash, and now the American taxpayer is on the hook to bail out yet another failed liberal Democrat scheme.

How about this?

How about you nutcases just leave the rest of us alone?

Don't pass any more laws to "fix" some "problem" you "think" needs fixing.

Just stay in your little liberal enclaves there on the coasts, talk among yourselves, and leave the rest of us to get on with the hard work of building and defending the greatest country and force for good in the history of the world.
