Actually I think there are a few liberals who weren't too happy with the "Gotcha, Racism!" tactics the Obama campaign deployed against the Clintons. In fact as someone whose affiliation with the Democratic party is founded upon its pro-union/blue collar support past, I'm willing to bet such a thing did not help him with the white working class vote in the Rustbelt, many of whom live in racially-mixed, if not racially-charged neighborhoods, and who have probably had to deal with Affirmative Action policies as an actuality more than the rest of us.

That said, it is after all politics, and for many of us the Dem vs. Republican choice becomes a "lesser of two evils" one. Personally, I like Obama as a politican, but I never drank the Kool-Aid nor saw him as any sort of liberal savior, and though you're right to point to his lack of experience, I think you're wrong to suggest it's akin to Palin's. The man's been on the national scene for four years now; Palin's been on it for two months. Big difference. And though I'm not one to presume what beats in her heart, or for that matter guess her IQ score, I think she has proven to be a bit out of her league and in need of more seasoning.

Anyway, despite Salon's high school-like fixation on her, I always thought this election would come down to a referendum on Bush and the current state of the economy. Nothing, so far, has dissuaded me of that opinion.

If I am not mistaken, the slick and experienced washington policians including both candidates for pres and the VP just voted for a bail out that gave dictatorial powers to the SEc of treasury, gave over 700 billion to bail out FOREIGN BANKS INCLUDING CHINA..... and all the while they are doing this, a shipload of AMERO's were on the way to China which had already set sail before the vote. That was why the pressure. It couldn't land with the AMERO's until they became legal. Nice, huh? Talk about treason, we should be calling it that because that is what it is.

They used this bill to finish the North American Union WITHOUT HEARINGS, WITHOUT INPUT FROM THE PEOPLE AND WITH OUT ONE OUNCE of integrity... both parties, both leadership members and the sweet crap that came out of their mouths while doing it made me want to vomit. I MAY NOT HAVE LIKED PALIN or her ignorance cause I listened to the CFR/banker controlled press, but it sure beats THE CROOKED, SOLD OUT, TREASONOUS SLICK WASHINGTON INSIDERS that Biden, McCain,Dodd,Pelosi, and Obama represent.

They had a great opportunity to really do what they preach and that was bring about change with their vote and influence and they did neither. Actually, they did bring about change and it will hurt us for generations and we will enter a dark ages the likes of which we can't imagine. Globalization as I laid out by the CFR just got passed.

She knew her weaknesses, and she stood up and took it like a real trooper and she was totally not trained to spar with the glib slick narcissists that run Washington and that is being nice, they are really sociopaths.

Give me a choice and I would pick her any day over what just went down. At least she had a history of fighting corruption in Alaska and many went down for it. I was going to vote third party for Mckinny because I believed all the stuff about Palin and because I didn't trust any of the candidates, and after this bail out I remembered who owns the press and I remembered how nice they have been to Obama and then I saw the debate and she wasn't anything the press said she was. I got so mad and outraged at the votes Biden and Obama made that I decided, Bush being handled by Cheney was enough.... Obama being handled by Biden is too much.... no more handlers with those who have no experience.

Biden had just voted and helped to lead the path to treason for our nation which told me how he would handle Obama, just the same way Cheney "handled" bush and next to her???? She highlighted, with her lack of slickness, the corruption that underlies the silk suits. I got so mad at the dems who I have voted for in the past that I decided I am not going to vote third party.... I AM GOING TO VOTE FOR THE OTHER TRAITOR BECAUSE AT LEAST HE IS EXACTLY what he is.... and he is not as slick as the rest of them.... so if I have to vote for evil, I will pick that evil which is worse over those who are skilled is deception which can end up being much worse as we just saw. McCain sucks at deception no matter how hard he tries.
