@London Lad, I saw the humor in your post. Even if I hadn't though, my skin's pretty thick. I had made the mistakes and it would have been okay to call me on it. No worries.

From my past readings here, my gut feeling is @ashepe is a very polite, calm, conservative (in a good way) gentleman. The nicest boss I ever had was a middle eastern engineer, I picture ashepe being just like him.

Once again, my observation that Palin's biggest critics are unattractive women and effeminate men stands.

And to prove the point of the previous poster's comment, in walks this poster. It's the whole high school jock and the cheerleader thing. Anyone that doesn't worship them is a nerd, or a loser...not part of the cool crowd.

Real men would love her, just like the editor at TNR who sat up a little straighter when Palin winked right at him.

I've wondered why most of the woman I know aren't insulted by the Palin pick to represent woman. I don't consider myself some intellectual type, I'm a middle class woman working to support two kids in college with real concerns in this election and when Palin was put on the ticket it pushed me closer to Obama. I was watching Hillary and hoping she would win the nomination but when she didn't I started looking closer to the candidates to try and make an informed decision but it only took a short time watching Palin perform to solidify my backing of Sen Obama. Woman have to work hard in the work place to be taken seriously and still I feel that we have a long way to go and so when the VP choice is winking at me during a debate and using folksy answers that have no substance it's insulting to us who take this election seriously. I can't wink at my boss when he doesn't agree with me about something, I have to use intelligence and facts to show I know what I'm talking about. I don't see that in Sarah Palin. If she doesn't want to answer media questions because of the filters then she should go back to sports broadcasting where her opinion is the final word. Americans want to ask questions and get spontaneous answers, what she reads to stay informed is not a tricky question so why couldn't she answer it spontaneously? I read the nytimes, washingtonpost, politico, and many other papers if only to check the headlines to know whats going on. That's not difficult. American woman are not dumb and so the GOP keeps insulting us time and time again by picking candidates who really aren't ready to lead.

Thank you for your wonderful column! Republicans are way out of the mainstream if they think intelligent women would identify with Sarah Palin, hockey moms included. We want somebody who is book smart, not cutesy smart and filled with colloquialisms, to be a leader in this country. Personally, I think she is an embarrassment.

Imagine having a _democratic_ party candidate who was as mediocre and transparently out of her/his league as Palin. It doesn't compute, right? She or he would be mincemeat in a second.

That the republican party's political apparatus feels that it has the freedom to try toe-curling stunts like Palin and Quayle is a testament to its privileged status.

Yet, a look at how deep of a hole we are in as a country should suggest even to die-hard republican supporters that having the foxes guard the hen-house may not have been the brightest idea.

Palin's populism is a cynical ploy to convince the chickens that the foxes are really on their side. What is mystifying is that so many remain cheerfully and devotedly convinced of this.

The commercials portrays pigs in a human form walking around in various settings with a slot in the pigs head with dumb, white, Christian Americans depositing their hard earned money in the pigs head and/or in the pigs hand. The commercial didn’t show the money going into the accounts of investors, it showed the investors money going to the Pig(Jew).

Because of dumb, white, Christian Americans lack of any sound religious knowledge revealed in the Qur’an, they are unaware that Allah turned some disobedient Jews into pigs because they didn’t keep the Sabbath as Allah demanded of them. Allah turned these disobedient Jews into pigs to serve as a lesson to mankind, but dumb, white Christian Americans eat their lesson.

While dumb, white, Christian Americans were routinely partaking in the pagan-induced, cannibalistic ritual of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of the murdered Jew the Jews gave them to worship, the Jews were brazenly stealing their wealth.
