The senator's indictment of the Democratic Party is just as dishonest as his failure to discuss his own evolution as an ally of McCain's.
  • Joe Whinerman

Being a Democrat, I welcome other opinions and viewpoints into my party, so it was never so much that Joe voted for the Iraq War that bothered me. It was that - even before he lost the Democratic primary for the CT Senate seat - he consistently and frequently used Republican talking points to attack his own party. Not to mention his behavior during the 2000 campaign: Letting Cheney roll over him in their debate, caring more about nicety's than strategy during the recount - publicly going completely off message and damaging Gore's efforts to win. Plus, he really is the world's biggest whiner - that was the one thing the Republicans got right in 2000.

So he will be the next Zell Miller: Democrat gives unhinged speech at Republican convention. And where is Zell Miller these days? Anyone seen him since?
