1.2.3....
If Hillary really could take McCain at all this election hasn't demonstrated as much. If she could have taken McCain she hasn't demonstrated it here.
1. what do those swing states and double digit wins in the big electoral states matter, right? What does 88% of the hispanic vote matter, not to mention handily winning the elderly in Florida, blue collars in Ohio and Southern Indiana, a solid Catholic vote, working women, the Dems best asset...
Just a lot more for the Nobama crackpots to pretend the electoral map doesn't exist!
2. She couldn't beat someone who, if you believe her supporters, is a political lightweight whose main asset is the colour of his skin.
No, no, no. That's YOUR argument remember. YOU keep saying it's all about race. Now you've made it all about race and we'll see how well that works for you in November.
She couldn't get the press on her side when Rupert Murdoch, one of the biggest players in the media, one of the guys who is getting frighteningly close to owning a media monopoly, was one of the people raising funds for her.
3. Holy screaming Cheescake!! I guess if you live long enough you hear the cheesenuts come up with it ALL Murdoch was "raising funds for her". LOL. Sure he was. I'm sure you have a credible citation for that, right Cheeseball? And exactly HOW would he MAKE the entire presscorps sing her praises even if he were?
If there was going to be a bias it was going to be on her side, but she kept on letting slip the precise sorts of comments and errors that the shallow American media finds so entertaining.
4. I swear you guys get nuttier and nuttier ALL the time. You make space aliens seem fairly normal.
And yeah, historically it's always been just so hard to "lose the black vote" when you have demagogues like Donna Brazille and Al Sharpton manufacturing nonsense about perfectly innocuous speeches being "racist".
5. My humble suggestion therefore is you go stick to base vulgarity that defines Obama, his campaign and supporters and has consistently impermeated and stunk up everything they do and touch: for more info see manos99.

Some of the Folks Here Will Vote McCain
And by all rights they should vote Republican. They have values, you see. Shawn is one. Since Obama is now our candidate, they must label him.
You recall how the Republicans like to frame the issues with their vast vocabulary. Democrats know the routine. Press the "hot" buttons of the people. Get them to react, not think. Now you may also recall that the elected Republicans have done much harm to this country.
Thinking and acting for the common good are behaviors that can solve big problems. All life applauds when the qualified and kind-hearted take office.

Perhaps Hillary was channeling Bill Clinton
It was Bill Clinton, who decided to prove his bona fides to white voters by issuing a public condemnation of a black female rap artist - in his famous "Sista Soulja moment". People can quibble about that as to its significance.
There is no doubt, however, that he left the campaign trail in '92 to preside over the execution of a mentally retarded black man. Later Supreme Court decisions made the execution of the mentally retarded part of the definition of "cruel and unusual punishment", but I guess Bill Clinton felt no need to be ahead of the curve.
Are the Clinton's racists?
In the classical sense, no. They are, however, people who are all too comfortable with committing political acts that harm black people to assuage the racist fears of white voters.

Clinton's deceny & Character
Suggesting an affirmative view of the Clinton's decency and character is amusing. Great politicians, both, and Bill Clinton was a fairly good president re policy matters; but character? Give me a break. Convicted of perjury and disbarred is hardly a medal for honesty. And Hillary's childish fantasies about running from snipers, and other such gaffes, hardly recommends her for character. Tough? yes; honorable? No

more nonsense
Harry Truman said "I told the truth and they thought it was hell". Did anyone expect that a black candidate for President would not invoke talk about race?
Yes, Barack is a Black Candidate! Michelle would be a Black First Lady! Face it.
The fact that it is open for discussion is good ,not bad.
It has been Barack'S campaign that has turned it into a dirty word. Thanks to David and Jesse.
We are a multi-racial society, but that doesn't mean we view everyone the same.
Barack's associations, connections and voting records are fair game. Just as are Hilliary's and McCain.
The liberal media has done a great job in helping bring an attractive black candidate to national stature.
So far his campaign has been a bunch of (same) inspiring speeches and free rock concerts. He, his race, his issues and his perception by the American public should be explored.
STOP THIS RACIAL PANDERING YOUR READERS DESERVE BETTER THAN THAT.

Too Late
It's too late for the Clintons to erase doubts about their anti-racism convictions. For almost six months they and Hillary's surrogates have injected race-baiting into the Democratic nomination process, sometimes subtly, sometimes overtly, always perniciously.
It's time for Hillary to concede. Barring that, it's time for her to eliminate-- not exacerbate-- this ugly element of her strategy.
