Hillary and race
I am impressed that Mr. Conason continues to give Ms. Clinton the benefit of the doubt in his latest comments. However, he is simply a fool if he has not yet discovered what is going on with the Clinton candidacy. It has been obvious for some time that one of the smartest and most capable members of our party has become seriously ill with Presidential Fever. Ms. Clinton will say or do ANYTHING she feels will help her become President, regardless of truth, morality, or any other "minor" barriers to her objective---as, for example, an opponent who seems to have greater communication and leadership skills than she. I have watched in horror as Ms. Clinton has evolved from a thoughtful and incredibly bright woman into one of the most disturbing personalities of our era. It is extremely sad and painful to watch, but it is even more sad and disturbing that the leaders of our party stand back and passively watch this self-immolation with nary a single attempt to stop the madness. As time passes, it has become clear that no senior Democrat has the guts or the will to stop this farce. Consequently, the mental illness of one individual has now infected the entire party, to the point where the party has become virtually dysfunctional. How and why one woman can destroy an entire party is completely beyond my comprehension---but we are watching the destruction day by day....
