Obama, get ready for the "Clinton rules"

As Wednesday's awful debate proves, it won't matter who the presidential nominee is -- the press will play footsie with McCain and attack the Democrat.

The letters thread is now closed.

well, she's gaining on him, polls suggest...

For whatever reason, it looks like Obama may have been hurt by that debate performance.

Obama's big mistake is that he never scored that big knockout blow -- California, New York or Ohio would have done it. Heck, a New Hampshire victory would have closed the deal early. He has let Clinton stick around in this race and now he's starting to look the worse for wear. The debate performance was troubling and anyone except the most loyal Obama-ites could probably see that. I bet if/when he wins the nomination, he'll want a mulligan on a few things he let slip out in Philly (denying his handwriting on the survey, "read my lips," etc.).

In any case, if Clinton pulls out Pennsylvania she'll really start pouring it on and put some more serious heat on Obama.

Mr. Spud, You speak God's truth

But the crazed Obamabots will never listen.

How to deal with the corrupt corporate media

a) you answer the question quickly

b) you point out the bias in the question and ask the reporter to do his job.

c) if they ask the question again, ever, you point out that you have already answered it and return to the issue of media bias.

The American people already hate the media so you won't loose any votes by fighting back. Secondly making nice doesn't work anyway.

If Kerry had simply said "I earned my medals and as you know the people who say I didn't have no first hand experience of my service. But what I want to talk about is why is why are you spending so much time questioning my war record and not asking Bush, Cheney and Rove about their lack of service. I am sure the American people would like to see some balance from you"

That would have shut them up nicely.

The MSM will make sure either Democrat loses to McCain

The MSM is so embedded in McCain's ass, it's indistinguishable from his colon. Notice how Bill Clinton is always mentioned by the media along with "infidelity", "extramarital sex", "habitual cheater on his wife", etc. McCain who has admitted to being unfaithful to his first wife before and after his captivity, admitted to having sex with other women days after returning from Vietnam and had begun the affair with his present wife while still married to another wman, is untouched by the MSM on these matters, just like he is on all his other screw ups, including the Keating Five, nmerous trips on corporate jets with lobbyists, etc. On the exremely rare occasion when his womanizing and infidelity are mentioned in the MSM, it's actually in a manner that makes him even more appealing to the average voter, you know, the true American cool, red blooded navy pilot whom women naturally just couldn't resist. If he were to be caught on video having sex with his adopted daughter, the MSM reaction would be:how lucky we are to have a candidate who is so virile, attractive and energetic at age 72, what a great commander in chief he would be, and since she isn't his biological daughter and Cindy doesn't mind, and since one woman is incapable of satisfying this stud, and since Woody Allen got away with it, it's his private business and has nothing to do with politics. How can any Democrat win against McCain when 99 percent of Americans get their news and information from the corporate media that is so madly infatuated with McCain?

Well I'm sorry he didn't defend her

To the Clinton supporters I am sorry he didn't defend her more. But I do think he deserves some credit for standing up for her and not taking the bait on the stupid Tuzla "sniper" question.

It's the first time I've seen a candidate do that for another candidate just about ever. It's also as close as I've seen someone come to defending the person who's trying to take the nomination away from him.

Were the Clinton supporters to give him some credit, even for this, then I'd think we were approaching something closer to a real dialogue. Many of them are reasonable. But for some reason they won't give him credit even on that.

There have been other examples, on both sides, his and hers, where they took up for each other. The sad part is that this fight, which intially started out as a good thing, has come down to this slime contest. But, oh well it has. We can disagree about where the blame for this lies, but it's still an embarassment that something that started out so good for the Democratic Party and America has devolved into this.

I think it's a scream!

Yes, Virginia, up to now the press really was protecting Obama after all so that they could get Hillary out of the way for the Republicans, knowing all the while getting Obama out of the way would be easier than pie.

This, of course, obvious to those of us who survived the 90's and watched the Clinton's win against everything the GOP could throw at them (and no crybabies, Hillary really hasn't thrown sh*t at the obamateur the way the right will that doesn't have to worry about offending the liberal sensitivities of the leftwing).

Now the snot-nosed, obnoxious, vile, vulgar, unhinged, despicable Obamateer fools are just starting to get Republican and electoral reality brass-kunckled into their idiotic "YES WE CAN!!!!" starry-eyed foolish brains.

And you can already hear the big communal wail. What a hoot. Wait until the GOP wipes Obama's posterior with 47 states.

After that anyone who ever lets the obnoxious, unhinged, loser left pick their Democratic candidate again needs a lobotomy.

Of course the adults tried to tell you that.

@manny - problem for the obamateur:

Obama's big mistake is that he never scored that big knockout blow -- California, New York or Ohio would have done it. ...

Well, see there are realist and adults in these states. Hispanics, elderly, working class folks who understand what's at stake.

Whereas when Obama runs in Idaho and the only Democrats are college students he wins hands down. When he runs in South Carolina where 85% of the Democrats are black finally happy to be able to vote for "da man", he wins hands down. When he runs in Texas and Pennsylvania where Rush Limbaugh and the radical right have been encouraging Republicans to vote for him than he at least comes close.

But in states that are any measure of what would come in November, such as New Jersey and CAlifornia and Florida - really really bad news for the Obamateur and for the Dems if he's shoved down our throats by the loser leftwingers.
