Isn't amazing
how McCain has totally ignored the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran which stated that Iran had no active nuclear weapons program! He seems to have wholeheartedly adapted the position pushed by the Israel Lobby that the Iranian bomb is a clear and present danger TO THE US! Give me a break!
I guess the real question is how many wars would the US be deceived into fighting to allow Israel- one of the world's most powerful nuclear states which continues to occupy and ethnically cleanse the Palestinians - to dominate the Middle East?
The answer is until the rest of us - including the gutless politicians - stand up to the powerful Israel Lobby. Sadly I don't see this happening anytime soon due to the Lobby's control of MSM. Long live the internet!

McCain-Hagee link tighter than we thought?
Hagee believes not only in End Times coming, but that we should bomb Iran before they inflict nuclear holocaust on Israel and a nuclear attack on us. He is loco, but has a large following who agree with his every word. He is rich and powerful. And McCain ACTIVELY SOUGHT his support. Maybe McCain is a secret convert to End Times religion, maybe he just wants to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for right wing support, but his slip-up on Iran and al Qaeda and his campaign manager's saying it wasn't a slip up would argue that he is on the bomb-Iran nutwagon. Hagee sounded more or less polite in an interview in tomorrow's NY Times, but make no mistake, he DOES say that he believes in end-times and that he wants to bomb Iran. He DOES say that God will destroy people who try to make peace with Palestine. His sermons, far too many of them, are on YouTube for all to see.

I don't think McCain cares either way, but it WILL happen soon
When I say that McCain couldn't care either way about whether we bomb Iran, I say that because he has never had an original thought. He is now a product of his handlers (Cheney/Bush).
The fact that he is making comments such as this are proof beyond any doubt- to me- that this will be happening before Bush leaves office. The reason he is sending conflicting messages about WHY we should bomb Iran is because he is getting advised by two different sources. One group who cares about trying to pass off a somewhat resonable lie (Lieberman group), and those who know the public will swallow anything (Cheney).
McCain is smart enough to know that WHEN the bombs start falling, the election will become all about that. So he knows he needs to start making some justification NOW for why his boys are going to do just that. And he will listen to anyone who has a rationale to pimp.
One caveat to this; it may happen after the November election.

McCain is a senile old man who cannot even run to a bunker in an emergency.
Age limits should be applicable to those running for public office too, and candidates as old as McCain should be banned from running for office on the same rules they set for public servants and government officials.
