Aim at the right target: McCain

Joe, I respect your opinions and I even buy all your books (some of which are tough going). You're wrong here though. Ferraro, by my lights is a jerk. She made a stupid statement. But the First Amendment explicitly says she can. If I had to apologize for all the stupid things I've said in my life, I'd never get another word in edgewise. It wouldn't surprise me if you were also in that boat.

We all need to get away from apologies, calls for resignations, and saying that something offends me.

We need to focus on what matters, the general election. If we keep up this grade school he hurt me, she hurt me bullshit, we embitter half the Democrats and all the Republicans. As is, we may already b looking at the incredible thought of a McCain win.

Every Republican should be an easy target. We just need to remember to shoot at them and not at ourselves.

    Steve Bobker
