After reading your back posts, I feel that your language and depiction of people who support Barack Obama, are quite racially charged. Don't see you as a liberal either. You write in coded put downs and dangerous generalizations. Reading your stuff, I did not for a moment deduce that you would ever vote for Barack Obama because while you hold Hillary Clinton to no ethical standards of campaigning, you have gone ballistic on Barack Obama, and more importantly, his supporters, implying somehow that these hoardes of black folk are the only ones bringing him the victories that Hillary Clinton mocks and puts down in every speech she makes.

Hillary Clinton has her black supporters too and Barack Obama has white supporters too. Will you be shocked to learn that both Panatala and Tom Payne are white men your same age? Maybe they are, and maybe they are not. Thay should not matter to a liberal. Right? Vote for whoever you want. But when you made spurious accusations against Barack Obama without any facts and you give Hillary Clinton a free ride on liking McCain over Obama, then as a Democrat, you should be livid.

If you do think that McCain is your choice, by all means, vote for him. But please don't tell us that you are a liberal Democrat because therein lies the hypocrisy.

I know it's hard to play with the grown folks, but do try to keep up. I posted that, not Tom.

I don't pretend to know or care, but I have noticed this interesting pattern of how when one of you starts crying the race card within moments there are ALL of you.

  • @llb - ALSO AS FOR GROWING UP

POT. KETTLE. BLACK. you have YET to contribute a single item of substance.

Calling every last person who is unwilling to give your Messiah a free pass a "racist" doesn't qualify as either intelligent OR grown-up in most circles.

  • ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!

I already issued an apology. I don't believe Shawn, Nazi Member, has followed suit. Kate's still sobbing into her Kleenex (Note: Kleen, not Kot), and the thread has descended beyond redemption. But, if you'd like to use me as a voodoo doll, knock yourselves out.

A perfect record of race-baiting in every post AND it only took them five posts to bring up Hitler! More of that great substance, I suppose, from the Obamateur's.

  • @ShawnNM

    You said,

“ have they delivered change in their past jobs.

In both cases Obama by an objective standard comes up sorely lacking.

Now try addressing the CONTENT of this post without crying racist persecution and attacking other intelligent beings with vulgar slurs and I'll actually reconsider my low opinion of you.”

I didn’t accuse you of racism. What I did was post your quote of “vile black scum.” Now why anyone would possibly construe that as racist, though….

You asked me if Obama has “delivered change in their past jobs.” Here you go.

    Bills Obama sponsored in Illinois:

    2. Measures to extend health care coverage for those above the federal poverty line (2000 –passed)

    3. A bill establishing a commission to develop a plan for providing universal health care in Illinois (2004- passed.)

    4. A bill permitting embryonic stem cell research – 2005, didn’t pass

    Poverty

    5. A bill initiating a long term study about welfare success rates – 1997 passed

    6. A bill providing job skills training for recipients of federal aid – 1999, passed

7.A bill establishing a program to help juvenile offendeors re-integrate into the community after their sentences. 1997, passed

    Crime

8.A bill requiring police to videotape interrogations of criminal suspects. 2003, passed

    Civil Rights

    9. A bill initiating a study of the race of people stopped for traffic violations. Paired with a bill that would allow officers to stop cars for seat belt violations. 2003, passed

    10. A bill banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. 2005, didn’t pass

    Ethics

11.A bill banning nearly all gifts by lobbyists and barred the personal use of campaign money. 1998, passed

    12. A bill adding state inspectors to investigate ethics violations. 2003, passed

    Environment

    13. A bill requiring utilities to purchase a portion of their energy from renewable resources. 2005, passed.

    Gun Control

    14. A bill requiring applicants for a firearm i.d. card to meet with a law enforcement officer as part of the application process. 2001, passed.

    Immigration

    15. A bill creating an office of immigrant assistance to provide education and outreach services. 2003, passed.

  • I've been wondering, too....

I have been wondering, too, why Obama's comeback is always to mention Clinton's tax return. What is he going to use next when the tax returns are released? My tax return is certainly not ready and I'm guessing the Clinton tax return is 100 times more complicated.

I have also wondered if the press is going to continue to be satisfied by Obama saying he made a "boneheaded" mistake in joining up on the real estate deal with Rezko. What an easy way to explain any past political mistake.

To the DNC and others, please don't think that almost half of all the primary voters so far are going to let you take away our votes by trying to force Hillary out. Obama crowing that he has already won sounds like counting his chickens before they've hatched.

<<you snidely attack fellow Democrats for worshipping a ‘myth,’ and then one someone else responds rudely to you come back and tell us that he made you cry. What a piece of work you are.>>

Yes, I can have a sharp keyboard at times, but if you can find a single instance of my assassinating another poster's character on this site, you're welcome to produce it. There's a huge difference between posting general criticisms of Obama and a very visible segment of his supporters, and going for another poster's throat, utilizing vicious slander.

<<You asked who Obama is and what he’s accomplished. I had my doubts as to the legitimacy of your inquiry – it didn’t seem like you really wanted an answer but I posted a lengthy post summarizing just a few accomplishments. Just as I figured – no response.>>

I apologize for not responding to your post. But I have read about Obama's accomplishments and to me, they're too little, too late. I just can't see where he's made any substantial difference for those who could've used the support.

<<Oh wait, you do have a response – because you don’t like some of Obama’s supporters, you don’t like Obama. So essentially, you don’t like Y, and Y likes X, so you don’t like X. That may be the most inane reason I’ve ever heard for not supporting someone – at least the dumbest reason since the last time someone posted as much, and that, too, was a Hillary supporter.>>

    Now, you're being snide.

<<At least my opposition on Hillary is based on HER, and her votes in the Senate, and not anyone else.>>

My support for Hillary is based on her track record and my belief that she really does care about making a positive difference. Sure, she's a politician and has her downside, but I do believe her heart and philosophy are in the right place. I believe this about Bill Clinton, too. I simply don't believe it about Obama. This belief may not meet any rigorous intellectual criterion, but it is my belief and it is the result of not only a whole lot of living, but a lot of reading, too.

<<Obama is hardly responsible for the behavior of his tens of millions of supporters>>

Any leader's followers give us important clues about who s/he is and what s/he stands for. I simply have not seen the naked hatred which issues from so many Obama supporters issuing from Clinton supporters. And I've been doing one hell of a lot of reading message boards lately.
