I agree with this
You're right up in there in the pantheon of vile, along with mr. tom. You know, I began posting on salon.com because I thought I might learn something new while debating with what originally seemed like fairly intelligent folks. I now realize I've stumbled into what is too often a vipers nest of self-inflated, hypocritical, cultural snobs with shivs for tongues. This by no means applies to all those who post on this site, but it's happening too often for comfort, and it's practically guaranteeing I will never vote for Obama. The ugliness I've seen coming from his supporters has been simply stunning and it has left me in tears on more than one occasion. BTW, your acidic attempts to strip others of their dignity is quite telling. This is the hallmark of those who preach one thing and practice another. In other words, you're not a liberal, not in any sense of the word. You're a hypocrite.
It's really sad but true. The Obama supporters here have no common sense. Their either patent racists of the worst sort, or they are the same old nuts that fight the center left rather than the right no matter how many times they lose and lose and lose.
Salon USED to have reasoned discussion. It's now clear to me that two terms of George W. Bush and it's wreckage have just caused the left to self-destruct. They'd rather drown than do what it takes to win, and that's why the Republicans always get their way.
I won't vote for Obama now either, but he wouldn't have won even if I did. He's simply inexperienced and is making mistakes all over the map and has WAY too much baggage in his history. Now three elections later with the same old people making sure we lose, I'm just not interested in investing my emotional energy or my money in an outcome that is already predetermined.

@ShawnNM
Black Power Blowhards
half-black Messiah
vulgar black slimebags
enthusiatic sort voting for him in Wyoming: aka Republicans.
If you all got together at once, you might win Vermont, the District of Columbia and Delaware.
Yeah, I was so impressed with Oakland and the high-class people that come from there.
Wow, Shawn NM – what a blessedly wide, varied, all encompassing group of people you hold in contempt!! Very impressive indeed.
And Katetex – you’re refusing to vote for Obama because of HIS supporters?!
…on a serious note – vulgar black slimebags?? What DOES it take to get banned from here, anyway?!

@tompayne
and the 800 other or aliass that either are or sound just like you.
Don't apologize to me because you can't take all that hate and ugly stuff you've been spewing for weeks and weeks back. There are consequences for all our actions. But mark my words, you will never get ANYWHERE by alienating the moderate centrist crowd like KateTex.

KateTex
E-mails of the editors are available on the site if you want to call attention to the name-calling. The poster in question has been doing that here for years. Anyway, I'd rather read answers to R-BL and KcM than retorts to a known psychopath. Why don't you ignore him and answer them?
-
Oh sure KateTex
"and it's practically guaranteeing I will never vote for Obama."
Oh sure KateTex, like you were ever going to vote for Obama. The likes of you and your fellow traveler redneck shawn something, would vote for David Duke before you would vote for a bi-racial man. Why don't the 2 of you officially register as Republicans and stop pretending to be Democrats, and while you're at it, take with you Hillary, another covert Republican and make it official for her too, so she can run on the McCain ticket, where she belongs. You guys were going to vote for McCain anyway, so why go through the charade?
-
Thank you, melthough
I will contact the editors. And I will respond to the posters you mentioned when I calm down. I just stopped in for a moment while working to post about mr. tom, because I foolishly let him get to me in the past couple of days. Then things went downhill from there. I simply cannot believe how upsetting and nasty this primary season has gotten...what a shame.

sorry ignatius but you'r both biased and full of it.
Black people have been calling white people racist for years, sometimes fairly, but a lot of times not. From my own experience, save for the miserable years I spent in the deep south, blacks are far more racist than whites. To my mind it's been proven here too.
Now here we had the Obama campaign and their highly vulgar supporters race-baiting and spewing bogus accusations against (of all people) the Clintons and virtually every person here who happens to (rightfully) disagree about Obama's viability.
I call a spade a spade. Racism is either unacceptable or it isn't. Those who dish it out have no business whining about it.
Toodles!

@Katetex: Oh, boo hoo
C'mon where's the outrage and indignation for ShawnWM who not 5 minutes earlier than you posted:
"Why don't YOU take your 800 sign0ons , your race-obsessed hiney and stand out in the rain with your mouth open until either you die, or the Obamateur loses to McCain in a landslide whichever comes first. You can then promptly whine about how it's "whities" fault you put up an unelectable candidate. . . There doesn't seem to be anything left of the Democrats besides racist black slimebags and lunatic left fringe."
So the hitting-under-the-belt comments of a few Obama supporters in a public forum have hurt your feelings? And now you'll never vote for Obama? You don't think that maybe your not voting for Obama has more to do with the fact that you have patently refused to give him any credit for any of his accomplishments and that you have bought whole-sale all of the propaganda spread by Hillary's campaign. You don't think that it's ridiculous to call someone out for not being a liberal when you've just said that you don't care if McCain wins if Hillary is not the nominee?
I've gone back and read many of your previous post and I'm sorry, but that high horse you're on is unjustified.
In fact earlier today you wrote:
"Also, are you possibly the last person in the country to learn that Obama is getting nearly the entirety of the black [sic] this time around? Why is he taking the black vote away from the spouse of the First Black President?"
That's pretty ignorant too. In fact, you've myopically refused to let go of your obsession with Rezko, of your insistence that Obama and his supporters believe that he can walk on water. You also only pay attention to editorials and articles that reinforce your positions, ignoring the links, posts and arguments of reasonable and intelligent Obama supporters.
I'm often just as frustrated with the level of discourse here, but you can't get away with saying that a candidate's supporters are a reflection of the candidate him/herself and not accept some of the blame for why we are so angry with Hillary and her campaign.
