Media is doing a great hit job on Hillary for Obama
For the most part, practically entirely, the media has given Obama a free ride and ganged up against Hillary Clinton and her husband, Bill Clinton. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the corrosive attacks on the Clintons 24x7 by injecting race which Obama has successfully fanned to his advantage.
When Obama asserts that his supporters will not vote for Hillary in the general elections, that is not even a point of discussion for many of the gas bags on TV or in the press. Obama is using a veiled code to his supporters. He will run as an independent should he lose in the primaries, which he most likely will. So much for his messianic blow on unity and healing. Balderdash. If he cannot unite the Deomcratic party behind him, heck, he will take his ball and go home and take his players with him. Who is divisive here?
I am supporting Edwards and I will vote for whoever the Democratic nominee will be. It pains me to see how divisive Obama is. His inexperience, he wears unabashedly on his sleeve, as he spews visionary platitudes about change. He is enormously thin skinned. He can dish it out, but can't take it. And the media is always too happy to come to his rescue. Not to talk about the likes of John Kerry and Tom Daschle who do not want to see Hillary win.
Also, let us see him take on the white evangelical church on homophobia. I would like to see him berate white christians on issues of Choice and Homophobia as he did in the Black church last weekend, a safe place for his pedagogy. There is a report on Obama on Pat Robertson's 700 Club, but that is only a clip and Obama is not discussing the despicable attitude of the church for gays and lesbians.
It is alright for spouses of Edwards and Obama to campaign, but not Clinton? Why the double standard? Bill has every right to criticize Obama on his record. If Obama is such a strong candidate, surely, he can field the criticism with his own brand of truth. But I am tired of the media taking sides, almost always with Obama.
Edwards is also running, people. Where is the coverage on him? Where is media objectivity?

the Hillary-hating Democrats will come around in November
A new 527 organization has been formed.
According to Bartcop:
GOP Strategist Launches Citizens United Not Timid (C.U.N.T.)
He hates Hillary more than some Democrats
A vote against Hillary is a vote for Citizens United Not Timid.
Don't say you weren't warned.

Candidates should use their leverage!
There seems to be a tendency right now in mainstream news to blast Pres. Clinton for getting into the election business. This is absurd and a juvenile notion that candidates are not supposed to use their leverage whenever it is possible. How dare Bill Clinton campaign for his wife! This makes the playing field unfair and in her favor, they whimper.
It is important to note that perhaps there are many Americans who feel more comfortable about Hillary with Bill Clinton at her side. It is certainly not a detriment to me. Clinton proved himself to be a hard-working president, a good president despite the Lewinsky side show. Certainly, it is no drawback to have some intelligence back into the White House. After all, we have been without it for eight years.
It is unknown whether Obama truly represents something other than business as usual. I have my doubts. His lack of experience, plus his reluctance to really take a stand on things do not convince me that he is a better alternative to Hillary. Particularly, galling was the praise he gave Reagan...now that infuriated me and it is hard to make me trust him now.
I don't know why I get all caught up in the Clinton/Obama match-up. I have been and still am for Edwards who is more of a Democrat and who represents my point of view better than any other candidate.

But is it worth it putting their credibility on the line
sesanders
I don't have a problem with Clinton shilling for his wife--what else would he do. But I do have a problem with the credibility problems he's creating for himself and for Hillary that may backlash in the general election.
The Clintons have a reputation --not only among their detractors--but among the American people of being a bit fast and loose with the truth. When it was all about Monica, people said, well it's a peccadillo. What does it matter. But when we have serious problems in the economy--when we have serious repercussions of war--when Clinton's credibility is running against Obama's credibility and coming up short--even if she wins the battle, she may lose the war.
Obama's comments about Reagan were a jab at Clinton. He said that the Clintons had not changed the direction of the country. As for Reagan, he said "these ideas have played themselves out." That cannot be read as an endorsement by anyone who wants to consider themselves objective.
So in a general election, issues with Clinton's use of "fairy tale" about the war record (widely debunked--Clinton wanted to use the fact that Obama said he "didn't know how he would have voted" to prove that he's no different than Hillary--but supporting the troops is different than authorizing the war--anyway--this idea has been widely debunked). So you're going to have "Clinton reality" verses "public reality." It's a dangerous strategy in a general election.
Democrats need credibility if they are going to win this election. It seems that in attempting to destroy the Obama threat, the Clintons may only be destroying themselves.

Salon as a whole has been obviously pro-Hillary
I'm not a supporter of either Obama or Hillary, I have no horse here. It's fairly obvious that the Salon coverage has tilted in favor of Hillary, starting with the piece on whether Obama was just an uppity nigger or not.
I don't have a problem with political reporters having opinions. Let's face it, they all have opinions, whether they express them or not. It just annoys me when people preten they don't.
Salon is tilting towards Hillary. That's fine just admit it instead of being coy.
"I don't have the time or inclination to write about all the candidates."
Shades of Joe Klein...
