Why conservatives love Barack Obama

Clinton haters who think the Illinois senator can beat Hillary support him now, but their affection will fade if he gets the nomination.

    The most important thing...

I don't know or care who the republicans like, they will never vote for a democrat. Period.

What I DO care about is who can get elected? Hillary has her much over-discussed negatives, but...do you really, truly, honestly think this country (and I mean the WHOLE country, not the more educated coast-dwellers) are willing to elect a black man? President???

I like all of the democratic hopefuls (kudos to Chris Dodd this week, by the way), but what I care about more than anything else is: the democrat MUST win. MUST! I can't take another 4 years of republican rule, and neither can this country.

I think Obama is great, but I cannot imagine a scenario where a plurality of Americans agree. We need to start by getting back the government, then we can push leftward.

May the most electable person be nominated...
