Sad
"They attacked us before" -- on 9/11 -- "and they will attack us again" if we don't fight on until "victory."
Isn't it sad that soldiers are mouthing lies to support an unjustifiable war in which they are quagmired? Who is the "they" that attacked us before? Did Iraq play any role in 9/11? Even Mr. Bush says no. So why did we attack Iraq when they were not the "they" that attacked America? The American public has been given so many reasons that I don't know which one to believe, if any.
The best way to "support our troops" (such a nice bumper sticker) is to get them the hell out of a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 as soon as possible. Unfortunately, getting out is easier said than done.

Teen Angel
Ariel Fleischer is literal the angel/demon demiurge butcher (of the Baghdad infowar). Translated from the Orwellian, this means the best spokesman for maximal approval is a Jeckyl/Hyde spirit ruling through slaughter.

Tonight on Countdown, there was a segment about the families angry because the six trapped miners are still underground in Utah
They are angry because the rescue operation has been halted after three men were killed and six more injured in the rescue attempt.
They are angry and they are grieving and they want their loved ones back, seemingly at any cost.
I can't blame them for feeling that way.
But if I could ask them privately, with the TV cameras far away:
"How many more have to die to go in that mine to find your men?"
If ten more men die, would you say, "that's enough?"
If I could ask a question of that "spokesman" for the miner's families who said the rescuers weren't doing enough, I would ask him this:
"Would you be willing to get in that 3' diameter metal cage and let yourself be lowered 1,800 ft. into a collapsing mine drift with so little oxygen down there as to make breathing impossible? Would you go?"
And it's the same thing with those who have lost their family members in the Iraq War so far: I want to ask you, "How many more?" And "are you ready to go?"
It's a terrible thing I know, to lose someone. I know. I know.
But in your heart of hearts do you really want to make more widows, more orphans, more heartbroken mothers? Do you really want to make more burn victims and amputees and young men with tortured souls?
How many more will satisfy you? You say, "Stay until we win."
What is winning?
You say, "Stay to honor those who have already paid the price."
That's not honor you are after. It's revenge. And no amount of further casualties is going to give you the peace in your heart that you seek.
Honor your dead and your wounded and your sick at heart by bringing this goddamned mess to an end.
That's the honorable thing to do.

Any Political Group Formed by a Professional Liar...
...will get the result it so richly deserves. The people are tired of being taken for idiots. Ari Fleischer, one of the most prolific and shameless professional liars of the new century, can't hope to get far with this charade. The man who told us the proof that Saddam Hussein had had weapons of mass destruction and the proof of this was that they were no longer there - and so must have been moved - can only get away with that kind of double-talk for so long. And it is time to say so long to Fleischer and his pitiful legacy. The people who have whored themselves out to help him with this project will have to live with themselves when it's all over, and preaching to any choir is stupid, but especially when it's a choir of idiots.
Hey, just how often does one actually see rats jumping onto a sinking ship? This really is a transparently desperate move.

This ad will backfire
It is so bad to any audience member but the true believers that I be a lot of people call the number to say end this f--ing war.
As for John Kriesel, I have no respect for him. Losing his legs while working for a criminal syndicate -- even if he was blind going in -- doesn't get him a pass from me to call for continued bloodshed in my name, with the money I earn.

Ari On MSNBC
This is a very telling interview that shows how much Ari really cares for this soldier. I mean if you dont even know his name....

Dead-enders??
"Any Political Group Formed by a Professional Liar...
...will get the result it so richly deserves. The people are tired of being taken for idiots."
Really?? Then why are there so many of these 'misinfornmed' folks out there?? Dead-enders? War-lovers? People with a lot of stamina who don't get tire? Or are they actually idiots?
"Ari Fleischer, one of the most prolific and shameless professional liars of the new century, can't hope to get far with this charade."
He was actually just the mouthpiece for the real liars. And he was so danged good at it.
"The people who have whored themselves out to help him with this project will have to live with themselves when it's all over, and preaching to any choir is stupid, but especially when it's a choir of idiots."
Amen to that. But it would appear that these folks don't know what shame is . . .

Thanks for pointing out one of the most important deceptions
Excellent article. Not least because it points out the one glaring contradition that I've yet to see any other news or opinion piece cover. Freedom's Watch claims to be grassroots driven when it is, in fact, bank rolled by wealthy right wingers and not a large number of middle class citizens.
Joe did what every other reporter that has covered this story should have done - check the facts and call them on their cockamamie backstory.

Ari Shyster..
"They attacked us before" -- on 9/11 -- "and they will attack us again" if we don't fight on until "victory."
is well put, you can leave the 'They' hanging in the air without any real clarification whilst cutting to the 9/11 WTC footage that is seared into humanity's brain [footage ready-made and perfect for rolling out to justify anything absolutely anything the GOP wants to do] thus further trying to reinforce this wholly discredited and self-denying shibboleth.
I guess when the decider prefers to think with his gut, they can use gut-friendly messages like this for his gut-thinking base. Kind of makes you sick to the gut, especially when the whole thing is fronted by the gutless chickenhawk and uber-liar Ari-Fleischer, a man, if he was to say 'good morning' would have you automatically checking for your watch or a window to see if indeed it was still daytime.
I don't know if this campaign will work or backfire, but to say that it's beyond despicable in its moral and ethical intention is about right.
