    ?

I honestly don't know enough to comment about the big diplomacy questions. I always feel so lost when it comes to this subject. But I have to say it does bother me to see western women, or women from anyplace for that matter, wearing oppressive clothing. Come on - you guys know that hijab is about controlling women. Would you really be okay with her wearing a burka "as a sign of respect" if the circumstances were different?

And I don't give a rat's ass what the Christians, Jews, Mormans, or Shakers did or do. My point is that it is a bad example for a female leader in a western country to don a garment that is associated with oppression.

But you know, I'm a liberal so I look for trouble. Other than that she seems pretty cool to me. You have to love anyone who gets Cheney so mad that he goes on Limbagh for a public rant.
