Electrocute Bill Keller! No, hang him!

The moronic hosts of GOP-connected radio station KSFO get big yuks calling for "traitors" in the press to be killed -- all brought to you by Disney.

Excellent story! I simply told the advertisers what the hosts were saying

    Thank you Joe.

I really appreciate the story, especially today when someone from KSFO ABC/Disney created a web page to out me. Maybe his bosses at KSFO suggested it since it clearly was done on company time and posted from an ABC Disney company IP address. But it doesn't surprise me since I and one of my readers have cost them money from advertisers who have pulled their ads. ABC Radio/Disney refuses to do anything about KSFO radio hosts who incite violence and spew indecent speech. Because it makes them money. Except when it doesn't and then they subsidize it with revenue from other shows.

As Glenn Greenwald has said about extremist speech, we can't just ignore it anymore so instead, I've been monitoring this station and these hosts. I've primarily focused on Brian Sussman, former KPIX weather man, after I engaged him in an email conversation about his support of torture. http://s88172659.onlinehome.us/2005/06/brian-sussman-why-dont-you-want-to.html. Listen to him talk about cutting off the finger and then the genitalia of an Iraqi. This took place at 6 pm and he was not reprimanded or fired.

http://s88172659.onlinehome.us/cutofffinger12152005H18M13.wma Or listen to him demand that a caller, "Say Allah is a whore." http://s88172659.onlinehome.us/2005/10/brian-sussman-to-caller-say-allah-is.html And this man calls himself a "theocon."

I've been contacting KSFO advertisers to alert them to what these hosts have been saying. I chose this method because I believed that corporations really don't like to be associated with hate speech, and the only thing I thought that would get the station's attention was if they took a financial hit.

It finally got their attention after they lost Mastercard. The station manager (through his sales manager) wrote me to ask for a meeting. And a possible "debate" with Sussman. I had no desire to debate Sussman. When I declined, they called me a coward and proceeded to make vague threats of a lawsuit. Now an anonymous person (most likely one of the sales associates) says I'm being investigated by the FBI and the SFPD. "The criminal investigation is on you for fraudulent tortious interference with a business and using the internet to comitt [sic] those crimes. it's illegal"

I blog anonymously for a lot of reasons, one of which is the thuggish tactics demonstrated by people like Morgan and her good friend Michelle Malkin.

Finally, last week I wrote Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal to let them know that Ms. Morgan is calling for their editors to be hanged. The WSJ sponsors Morgan's show. I suggested that the publisher stand up for his journalists and pull their sponsorship. We'll see what happens. Someone has to stand up for the journalists who are doing their job, and if it has to be a blogger, so be it.

Morgan/Rogers and KSFO are simply not worthy of a relationship with an organization with the integrity of the Wall Street Journal. If you agree that the speech of these hosts isn't something that advertisers want to associate with I encourge you all to write the advertisers.
