The folly of the New Facism...and the Death of the Unicorn, our beloved America...
We're all preaching to the Choir on this site, BUT...IF we ALSO get out there and protest and demonstrate, and write and vote and DEMAND paper trails for ALL elections beyond Mayor, AND start a national initiative for a return to the progressive tax; recover the $500 billion in Estate tax and other rebates/tax cuts that are NOT being reinvested in America, THEN maybe we might have some ability to END the slaughter in Iraq and other sovereign nations occurring in the world, courtesy of our men and women in uniform and our weapons dealers. (Lord of War was a bit heavy handed, but illustrated a horrifying truth)
Imagine...what $800 billion over the last five years could've done to truly secure this country, Mexico, foreign partners in the energy industry, health care, education, rebuilding decaying infrastructure and the rehiring of citizens for living wage jobs, TRUE NATION BUILDING IN THE CHRISTIAN MODEL OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS and the authentic Jesus Christ, not some neocon Sunday christian. Blab about unborn babies while the ones here are starving and abused. Woe to you hypocrites-and those who are ruining the Earth.
Speak out against what is happening. Shake off your complacency. "I've got mine, worked for it", whoo whoo whoo...well, Sparky if we don't do something and soon, all your 401K, personal stock market investments and whatever else you see as so secure, will be gone...too much of our cash flow and relative liquidity is being propped up by China and the Arab brothers of our corrupt energy industry, (hell, our corrupt administration!). Hedge funds are not being regulated; Big business in general is absolutely unrestrained, unregulated, and uncontrolled. Capitalism only works if there is some ethical, moral restraint practiced in the Board Room.
FYI to all of you out there who DO have theirs...I'd speculate you're above the age of 50, and were fortunate to have found employment right out of high school or college...it no longer works like that. Your pensions and health benefits are unprotected; there is nowhere to hide. Plan on staying VERY healthy, keeping yourself debt free and never burn your bridges, because you JUST NEVER KNOW who you'll be working for tomorrow.
