Clinton did not invade and conquer Iraq, you silly person!
But Cheney and W. Bush did, for no good reason. Actually for evil reasons. Bill Clinton and I, and most Americans learned not to do stuff like that, when we saw the supreme snafu of Vietnam.

the fortunate son parallel
does anyone else remember the book fortunate son? in a nutshell, this was a biography of bush that came out in 2000, written by j. h. hatfield, a guy whose previous literary efforts had their apex in a biography of the guy who plays captain picard, written from newspaper and magazine articles without any access to the subject.
the bush biography was picked up by st. martin's press, in large measure because it contained the sensational allegation that bush had done a year's worth of community service as a result of an arrest for cocaine use. the source was anonymous. days before the book came out, it was revealed the hatfield had not disclosed a felony conviction to st. martin's. and it was not your common or garden variety felony, but rather, hiring a hitman to whack someone who could testify against him. st. martin's withdrew the book amid great publicity, and the allegation that bush had used coke became radioactive. hatfield apparently claimed later that his source for the allegation had been karl rove.
kind of dovetails pretty neatly with memogate, no?

When?
Because I just googled that and got a result.

verification
The only way this issue regarding fabrication can be conclusively sorted out, is through the clear demostration of other letters or memos that Killian produced on the same "typewriter." This type of "meshing" as Blumenthal states or corroborating evidence is the key feature in either supporting or discrediting the central argument regarding document authenticity. If Killian produced similarly configured documents, then the case is closed, but if no such documents can be produced, then all the spurious theories about authenticity or forgery or planted documents will forever continue, and Rather's hope for long-last vindication will fail. Clinton had a draft induction date
timbuktom:
"Clinton's draft lottery number was 314. He never would have been drafted. Are you old enough to remember how the draft used to work?"
You're being a bit dishonest here. Clinton received that lottery number AFTER he reneged on his promise to serve in the ROTC.
Clinton earlier had received a draft induction date of July 28, 1969. (David Maraniss, "First in His Class," p. 172).
According to Rich Lowry in "Legacy," "Clinton scrambled like mad to get out of it, drawing on every resource and pulling every possible string. He eventually got a deferment by enrolling in the ROTC program at the University of Arkansas. But he didn't want to go to the University of Arkansas, or to join the ROTC, or, after school, to have to fulfill an obligation to go into the service for two years. He just wanted to avoid serving in Vietnam." - p 7
What Clinton did to dodge the draft was explained by Col. Holmes in 1992:

Snidly,
I have two copies of that book. Hatfield committed suicide. And if you believe that Hatfield didn't have some help, I have some waterfront property in New Mexico to sell you.

Oh, and why use the MOS
When dealing with a civillian when Intellegence Officer is so much more readily recognisable?
-
Oh, this is rich.
Bush was elected less than a month after al Qaeda bombed the USS Cole. We were at war at the time; it's just that Clinton ignored those who declared war on us.
As opposed to Bush, who stood at attention and ordered all military and civilian intelligence agencies to leave every stone unturned after receiving a report titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US."
But this isn't really about Bush, at least not for me. This is about CBS's utter refusal to broadcast the Abu Ghraib story-- if what Rather alleges is true, no amount of perky Katie Couric smiles will be able to wash the dirt off CBS...if anyone's listening, or still cares.

What's your point?

Clinton deployed our military 40+ as president, including a preemptive attack on Iraq during December 1998. He also waged the moral equivalent of war on Iraq by insisting on sanctions that killed 500,000+ Iraqi children.

Can't spell "taliesan" without "lies"
"When dealing with a civillian when Intellegence Officer is so much more readily recognisable?"
Because, moonbat, a civilian would not recognize the MOS without looking it up. You're not too sharp, are you?

Unless he was a faker.
Guy on another site I post on did exactly the same thing once. What he did was he went onto a certain site dedicated to military veterans, and harvested the details of one of them. Word for word.
Needless to say, when someone had the cheek (Not me, but I really respected the person who did) to enter those details into Google and check, well it all came out word for word.
Now tell me, is the name Farnham familiar to you?

Persian drugged
Persia:
"As opposed to Bush, who stood at attention and ordered all military and civilian intelligence agencies to leave every stone unturned after receiving a report titled "'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US.'"
Richard Clarke wrote the following in "Against All Enemies":
"I asked FAA to send another security warning to the airlines and airports and requested special scrutiny at the ports of entry,” Clarke continued. “We considered a broad public warning, but we had no proof or specificity. What would it say? ‘A terrorist group you have never heard of may be planning to do something somewhere?'"
"No proof or specificity." That includes the August 6 PDB. There was absolutely nothing specific in that PDB concerning an imminent al Qaeda attack. In fact, the portion of the August 6 PDB concerned a December 4, 1998 PDB about an uncorroborated report that Islamic extremists might hijack a plane to win the release of other extremists in U.S. custody. All action on that PDB concluded by February 1999.
You moonbats scream about the August 6 PDB. However, it is obvious that you have never read the contents.
