Oh, this is rich.
Bush was elected less than a month after al Qaeda bombed the USS Cole. We were at war at the time; it's just that Clinton ignored those who declared war on us.
As opposed to Bush, who stood at attention and ordered all military and civilian intelligence agencies to leave every stone unturned after receiving a report titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US."
But this isn't really about Bush, at least not for me. This is about CBS's utter refusal to broadcast the Abu Ghraib story-- if what Rather alleges is true, no amount of perky Katie Couric smiles will be able to wash the dirt off CBS...if anyone's listening, or still cares.
