Where is the mandatory treatment program; the one that says if you don't get treatment and progress with your treatment you are finished in the military? I guess it's easier to send a broken mind back to a hell hole than a fresh one, right? I mean, hey, it's already broken and maybe if it dies we wont' have to spend money to treat it. Might as well get some more use out of it.
Could our military be that calloused? Oh yeah, it can.
Did Salon receive permission from the patient to reproduce his medical records? I understand this was done in the name of journalism; still, I also understood that medical records are private.
Is the altitude a factor? (Just searching here) Our tax dollars support these bases and this pretty lame health care? Isn't it dangerous for the "normal" troops to have below-average and mentally-ill soldiers amongst them in combat? Or in the mess hall?
