Evidently, lying is congenital.
Dog bites man!

. . . why is Cheney even being given a venue? Why does she need to be listened to? What is her supposed expertise?
She's a political hack out to save her father's reputation period. Except for her ability to make a farce of discussions about torture and thus boast ratings by making this more spectacle than news - what the hell is the point to listening to this wind-bag. Just waterboard her a couple of times and then see if she thinks it is no longer torture.
I mean, did she hold a cabinet level position that enabled her to sit in on all the high-level decision-making that she's now pontificating about? If not, then has anyone looked into why somebody without a proper security clearance claims to know so much about the inner goings on of the Bush administration?
How come nobody in the MSM bothers to call her out on the fact that she doesn'tm techincally speaking, know shit about what she's talking about?
It really isn't surprising she is a rude, bullying liar or that our integrity-challenged media keep giving her air time. That said, I am curious why This Week has started having these ultra right wing nuts on the roundtable. There are plenty of right wing crazies that have at least a semblance of sense about them but michelle malkin, liz cheney, ann coulter, etc? Who's next glenn beck & chuck norris? Cheney is trying to cover her father's big huge rear, just as he is. Do you ever recall a veep, (not running for further office), being so vocal & visible after their term is over? He is doing everything he can to keep from being indicted. We really shouldn't expect anything less from his spawn. But we should expect more from Stephanopoulus.
How does Liz Cheney know anything about these top secret interrogation programs? Does she have a security clearance? Or has her father shared secret information with her? I think the Cheneys need to be investigated much further about this...
The networks have a greed-driven definition of "good guest." A good guest is one who will promote buzz and increase viewership. If people will tune in to see what lies Liz Cheney is going to tell this time, and write blog articles on the lies she told last time, then she is a good guest.
Any sort of, say, veracity, is completely unnecessary.
This acorn hasn't dropped far from the tree.
Liz and Sarah would make quite the tag team on the media circus tour. Both resemble parrots that can speak the words but have no comprehension as to the meaning behind the.
Like father like daughter they wouldn't know the truth if they met it in the street. why do the networks keep putting liar's like the Cheney's on the air? the same with nut case Sarah Palin people with any intelligence don't want to hear their lies.
Why is this woman on TV? I really don't understand how someone gets to be a "pundit" -- a term which implies some form of specialized knowledge or expertise that would make their appearance on TV worthwhile and informative. I don't bother to watch any of these shows because their definition of pundit doesn't require any consequential knowledge at all, just the ability to appear as a "good guest" -- or someone who spouts endless nonsense.
The only way I'm ever going to watch a show featuring Liz Cheney is when she agrees to be waterboarded in order to prove her contention that it is not torture. A true ball of slime, just like her father.
Mark my words, she is going to be on the Republican 2012 ticket with Jeb Bush. Sarah Palin, will be Sexy Secretary of State, you betcha! All of you are commentors are haters or iberal and gay. And yeah, I know she's a lesbo, but it's ok for two chicks if the are somewhat hot. I think she a lipstick lesbian - Penthouse style! Lets roll back these liberal ideas and bring back the 50's! A happier time in Amercia when Negros knew there place (and not as president, thank u!). The Bushes are to family values what the Kennedy's are, right Mary Jo (oh, and that guy Laura Bush killed when she was drunk in High School).
No real surprise here. While the rest of us were teaching our children to be honest and truthful and good citizens the Cheney's were teaching theirs a sense of entitlement, superiority and manipulation of others. The Cheney's aren't good people or good citizens, and they never will be. They are profoundly un-American.
The real question here is why the media would give them a forum for their anti-American views?
wouldn't know the truth if it bit her on the snatch.
I'm surprised no one from the right has jumped in here to argue on her behalf. Kinda like George Will during the round table discussion - he just sat there and you could almost hear his thoughts - will someone pleas shut this fruit cake up!
Glad to see you're right on the money, taking this woman to task over her lack of truth-telling. I plan to print this out and show it to a certain Faux- and propaganda-loving person who is great but very, very misguided.
You just made me snarfle up my snapple.
Too funny!
I'm seeing what I'd call a stunning use of propaganda in the U.S. Main Stream Media. It's unprecedented, and dangerous.
From Liz Cheney to the other voices of the right wing, the bell is being rung 24/7 in support of right wing, corporate and banking power. Americans are being brainwashed to a greater degree than ever.
But all this is familiar. I urge readers to look at the 1962 Daniel Bell essay "The Dispossessed," (Google it) to realize this has been going on 'forever.' But, we need to stop the right wing extremists, not enable them.
