Clergy say, "I won't"

Since gays and lesbians can't say "I do," some churches are getting out of the marriage business

@Laurel962 - Fuck you, cow

I don't need to go into any detail-you simply are a LIAR. As I said before, you are the Cliff Claven of salon.com. You are a bigot, liar, and an idiot, all in one huge, ignorant package.

Seriously, you get savaged on here by everyone, and still you come back, with even wordier rants about, making no sense. It's like watching a heifer heading to the slaughter-except the first strike to the head doesn't kill. Sad, really sad.

What our problem with you is, you are a bigot. Don't give me this shit about "I'm not the only one opposed to gay marriage..." I really don't give a fuck if you approve or not. What we are saying is that this is a civil rights issue. If people like you had your way, African Americans would still have to ride in the back of the bus. This isn't about what you like, or are comfortable with. This is about equality for all.

I don't need to get a life, you stupid cow. I have one. A good one. You, on the other hand, are a fucking joke. Here's a clue for you - you live in Cleveland. It's dying and decaying. It is a bastion of yesterday's thoughts and yesterday's men. No one is eager to move there. Just because it is your world (and it is painfully clear you've never been anywhere else) doesn't mean that it's the same everywhere else.

So, Laurel, go get your big dildo and fuck yourself. While your husband is down at Flex sucking cock. If you didn't know, Flex is a men's bathhouse in Cleveland. I've never been nor will ever go, but I'm sure he's intimately acquainted with it, if only to get the fuck away from you.

Laurel, one more thing...

What is really revealing about you is what you have projected on to us:

I don't recall anyone saying anything about wanting to destroy "heterosexual" marriage. On the contrary, I wish everyone a happy marriage. YOU are the one to drop that dingleberry into the conversation. That says VOLUMES about you.

Same goes for polyamorous marriage. I don't recall anyone saying anything about that, either....this was YOU interjecting something totally unrelated into the argument.

Typical. I can't wait for your next screed. Reminds me why I left Ohio.

I Admire the Stand

But ultimately how will this help anyone? People who might otherwise have gotten married in that church will simply go elsewhere.

I'm all for civil unions regardless of the gender of the participants.

THERE ARE CHURCHES AND THEN THERE ARE CHURCHES

There are pastors and then there are pastors. Some churches are identifiable and some are not. The historical episcopal church created by henry VIII has the tendency to sway full frontal left -- unbiblical and unprincipled but can be quite formal. Thankfully this does not apply to all of them.

@Laurel962 YOU ARE NOT ALONE

There is a passage in scripture that says "you will know them by their fruit" -- well resorting to profanity because of the immaturity which stifles their ability to reason, is just one symptom of the sickness. Apparently, intelligent exchanges are moot because they do not have a leg to stand on -- thus retorting and name calling are their only defenses.

Gay Rights and Civil Rights are not Equal

First of all, marriage is a holy union between a male and a female, a natural phenomenom. It puts sanctity into a male and female relationship in the eyes of the Creator. Marriage between two people of the same sex just doesn't ring right in the ears of sane human beings. Gay rights is a part of human rights, but the right to be gay is not a right that was given, nor sanctioned by the Creator.

Man, whether he be gay, or straight, has one fundamental right...and that is to live an upright life as much as he possibly can. One of the main reasons for conjugal relations between a male and a female is for the purpose of procreation. Two people of the same sex can not possibly accomplish this. What they can accomplish is aids and other diseases, and G_d's wrath for their iniqities.

I noticed in the article where the reverend's wife (whom I believe is a person of color) mentioned that her and her husband are a mixed couple, and that in some states they (her and her white husband) were not allowed to marry because of their race. What I don't agree with is the fact that some want to equate the quest for racial equality as being the same as the struggle to be immoral as a gay. Straight people of color are not struggling for acceptance from others for us to disagree with what G_d made us naturally in gender, nor color. First off...most of us are proud of our race. Secondly, color is for the most part, a very mundane issue with us. Color seems to be our struggle, but others disagree with G_d's choice of colors for us which is where the real problem lies...big difference.

MIGHT I ADD WE ARE THE ONLY ANIMAL SPECIES WHO GO AGAINST G-D'S LAW

We are made in the spiritual image of G-d. When this precious gift is taken out of context by practicing homosexuality, we have disrupted the order of creation and moreover offended our heavenly father to the maximum degree. We are supposed to be the superior intelligence on the face of the earth, but it appears other animal species are naturally smarter and more obedient. This perversion of the Master's dictate to go forth in multiply is but one example. Abortion is another. For all our intelligence, we have fooled ourselves. For those whose minds have deceived them into believing homosexuality is a cross-the-species occurrence, here you have the sensible explanation disputing such ridiculous notions.

OUR SCREWED-UP GOVERNMENT MINDLESSLY HANDS OVER OUR CHILDREN TO HOMOSEXUALS

The government and courts sanction homosexuals to be adoptive and foster care parents, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Teachers despite the reports below as well as other well document federal government findings. THE LAWSUITS ARE COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU !!!

According to Judith Reisman, former university research professor and president of the Institute for Media Education indicated heterosexuals outnumber homosexual population 44 to 1, yet incidents of homosexuals molesting children is 40 TIMES GREATER than heterosexuals. Reisman completed a study, "Crafting Gay Children." "DEPARTMET OF JUSTICE findings rate of abuse off the charts." In addition, Dr. Ronald Bayer, pro-homosexual psychiatrist, authored Homosexuality and American Psychiatry: The Politics of Diagnosis, explains the removal of homosexuality from the officially approved list of mental disorders was based on power politics and intimidation by homosexuals NOT science.) The only means of propagation and recruitment is through our children.

One last note: Homosexuals do not want you to know that many of them were sexually abused when young, because many people who were so abused go on to molest others. And homosexuals do not want you to know that they are more likely to molest children than heterosexuals are.

You out there can lambast me all you'd like but the proof is in the numbers. I am the town crier -- and if you are not the crier then you are the village idiot not to seee the ramifications presented by the above.

May G-d have mercy on us all for allowing this abomination as part of our culture and and so-called civilized society.

If you dare google: "Crafting Gay Children."
