O'Reilly's campaign against murdered doctor

The Fox News star had compared Tiller to a Nazi, called him a "baby killer," and warned of "Judgment Day"

The letters thread is now closed.

Flaw in your logic

So if O'Reilly is responsible for Dr. Tiller's death, then Salon would be responsible if George W. Bush is ever assasinated.

Nah, that logic doesn't work either.

General Hatred

I have read many of the letters on this and it seems as though there is much more compassion for Dr Tiller, murderer of babies, than there is for the viable babies who are first poisoned then sucked out of a mothers womb. Go to the above linked site to see what the good doctor liked to do with his time.

I think that Dr Tiller has surpassed the murderer moniker straight to mass murderer.

Um, so what?

Should we all be afraid to point out horrendous behavior because some crazy guy might then shoot them? Of course not. Stop trying to blame Bill O Reilly for the actions of this murderer.

Do you or O'Really have any evidence pertaining to a single specific case that was alleged to have happened? Was there a dire medical need for the abortion when past 21 weeks? Do you have any specifics, any idea? Last I read, Dr. Tiller was acquitted of any wrong doing in 19 such alleged cases.

Put up or shut up.

@JKB - Just Curious

What is your stance on the hundreds of thousands of women, children, and innocent babies who WERE viable, wanted, and healthy murdered in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Gaza with American weapons, carried out directly or by remote control by American servicemen, and financed by American tax dollars?

I eagerly await your answer.

Already did, Coward

Answer my question, nitwit. How concerned are you with the innocent women, children, and babies killed by bombs built and financed by taxpayers of this country? Are you "man enough" to kill an Iraqi child with your bare hands?

Sunday, May 31, 2009 10:44 PM

Trout boy cant make an argument, only changes the subject

OK Trout boy, I can see where you are coming from. You hate your country and everything we do is bad. You side with our enemies and condone the killing of actually innocent babies in the womb. 30 million and counting abortions since 1973.

Don't change the subject! The man has scraped twenty times more babies out of the womb than American soldiers have died in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

You know what, go ahead and change the subject. That is what those with weak arguments do. It exposes you for the fraud that you are.

JKB Girl

In case you're too dense to understand my last message, I did follow your link. I didn't see a single example of a specific case of an unnecessary late term abortion he performed. Now, even an idiot like you should be able to grasp the importance of specifics when making assertions - yet the website to which you linked provided none.

Provide such evidence and answer my question, and we'll take it from there.

JKB

Are just being evasive, because you're not being very persuasive..

Sunday, May 31, 2009 10:49 PM

Speaking of insne

Anyone who calls abortion murder, who call doctors who perform abortions murderers or believe women are getting late term abortions for casual reasons are the ones who are INSANE.

Kill law abiding citizens while ignoring high crimes

It is amazing that some find it perfectly acceptable to target a physician who was practicing legal medicine and not breaking any laws, yet it is treason to expose the evidence that proves members of government willingly broke the law and their oath of office by denigrating other human beings with cruel and barbaric methods of torture in an effort to terrorize a population and manufacture evidence to justify invading a sovereign nation. If you haven’t seen the latest photos, please take the time to look at them. Only people without a soul can justify those pictures.

Fish boy

First, nobody is going out to purposely kill children in Iraq and Afghanistan, unless you are talking about Al Quaida or the Mahdi Army.

Second, I would be glad to choke the ever loving life out of any jihadist/terrorist I can find.

Third, I am part of the mythical military industrial complex so you are really barking up the wrong tree if you think I cam going to sympathize with you left wing propaganda.

Fourth.............God bless America!

You're Reaching

I'm the first to agree that Bill O'Reilly should be held accountable for everything he says. But on this one you're reaching. You quote 2005 sources to make your case for instigating violence and because somebody, perhaps indpendently, decided to execute this fine member of society (in my opinion) you decide it is all O'Rielly's fault. Though I'd like to think so, no. This is one you can only tangentially draw to O'Reilly. Try again.

JKB Coward

Far from it, coward. First you erect a pathetic straw man (it's people like YOU who hate your country - you're just too stupid to realize it), and you justify the killing of SOME innocent women, children and babies while purporting to care for the unborn. You're a hypocrite and a coward.

And again, provide actual statistics with medical reasons attached to prove your idiotic assertion as to the number of viable babies this man has "killed" vs. the number of American servicemen involved in illegal wars on the innocent civilian populations of the countries mentioned who were killed.

It's YOU who's changing the subject.

Why Is It Always Men?

I'm appalled at Dr. Tiller's murder and at O'Lielly's apparent complicity in that murder. I hope the man who killed Dr. Tiller goes away for a good long time.

What I want to know is, why is it generally a white male who stalks/attacks/kills a doctor who provides abortions, or who does the sabotage work on an abortion clinic?

Over a decade ago a good friend of mine was finishing up her certification for her CMA license by doing an internship at the local womens' clinic. Part of her job involved escorting patients in and out of the building, past the anti-abortion protestors. Thing was, and no doubt still is, the majority of the patients entering the building were not going in to have abortions. The clinic also provides pap smears, mammograms, tubal ligations, family planning counseling, etc. to low-income women. My friend said she just about lost it while escorting a 50-ish Native American woman, a mother and grandmother who had never had an abortion and probably had ovarian cancer, through the gauntlet, only to have the lead goon shove his graphic picture of "an aborted fetus" into the woman's face and call her a baby-killer.

So she took the asshole to court. And she won. The ruling was that he and his goon squad had to maintain a 30-foot distance from all clinic employees and patients at all times. And it came out that this dude lived somewhere in the woods in northwestern Wisconsin with his wife, six kids and the seventh on the way, and his sole income was a small stipend from his fundy church to drive here every day and harass the staff and patients of this clinic. Otherwise, they were on food stamps and welfare. Something wrong with this picture, ya think?

My friend also commented that when she was doing that internship she got to be very familiar with the faces of the people who were out there protesting every day. Many of them were women. Sure enough, a couple of the women showed up in the clinic with pregnant teenaged daughters who needed "a procedure" while she was there. And she said that for sheer assholish behavior, the men ruled.
