O'Reilly's campaign against murdered doctor

The Fox News star had compared Tiller to a Nazi, called him a "baby killer," and warned of "Judgment Day"

The letters thread is now closed.

"Nope, as long as your on the right, you can do and say whatever you want and you'll never suffer any punishment for it."

The guy who murdered Tiller will likely get life in prison.

@-- nkennedy

Fascism and the political use of language ....

Don't know if you have noticed, but for the last few years, anybody who protests against anything is called an "anarchist" by the main stream media.

Which is only just John Anderson..

after all, he she or it is "pro-life."

i blame obama

cheney is right, the obama administration is clearly failing to protect us against fundamentalist terrorism.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 07:18 PM

MSM also use wrong rhtoric

Fro instance Huffington Headline. 'Dr Tiller, ABORTION doctor killed". Well Tiller was a doctor who performed abortions, but he also provided other professional medical services. Most OBGYNs who perform abortions, also perform deliveries of babies.

The whole discussion around abortion is so distorted by the ANTIS but thee media uses their language all the time.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 07:19 PM

Yeah,

Curious it's also DOMESTIC CHRISTIAN "fundamentalist terror" too. What d' ya know 'bout that?

The Tiller family should explore a lawsuit

If the shooter was found to be an O'Reilly watcher, the family could very possibly have a wrongful death civil suit case against O'Reilly. The Kansas D.A.'s office might also want to explore the possibility of indicting O'Reilly as co-conspirator, inciting murder, or some such charge.

Would that hate speech be outlawed. Bring back the Fairness Doctrine!

@Susan Wood

Amen.

Bill is a Pill

It is truly sad that Dr. Tiller had to die a violent death. It is also a tragedy that Bill O'Reilly's mother didn't have an abortion when she was carrying him. He is a vile, mean, and hateful person and quite frankly I am sick of all the right wingnutz who make their living like he does. He contributes nothing of value to our society but fear mongering and hatefilled speech. America is becoming as lazy and lacking in intelligence as the Romans were when they sat in the stadiums all day, eating bread and watching the Christains being eaten by the lions. What a mean and intolerate society we have become inspite of education and technology.

Bill O'Reilly

Un-indicted co-conspirator.

@hploughjogger

"Irrelephantman"! Thank you for that! Perfect and right on the money. A young man who thinks the world started with Reagan (whom today's GOP would banish) and has yet to develop a soul, as all wingnuts fail to do. Fulminating and bloviating in a country that laughs at him ... he is ... IRRELEPHANTMAN!!!

Anti-Choice: Want To See What This Already Got You?

Federal marshals protecting abortion clinics, that's what.

You brain-dead fools. Enjoy.

Gabriel Winant's about O'Reilly's hate mongering

I would like to see this article printed in newspapers like the New York Times. There should be some limit on the freedom of speech when it is fulminating the emotions of hate. Yes O'Reilly 's campaign did cause the death of Dr.Tiller and he should be held accountable.

Free speech is free speech

Works both ways you know

Tiller The Baby Killer

O'Reilly was entirely justified. What this man did was an outrage! Isn't late-term abortion, especially at any excuse murder? Of course it is! It was the willfull termination of a living human being who would have had the same brain, speak the same language and look just like the rest of us had he or she been permitted to live. Think of the unborn and the unborn generations that have been lost to our culture forever as 'Tiller The Baby Killer' plied his craft while hiding behind the skirts of then Governor Sebellius.

That Obama can sure pick 'em, cam't he?

Excuse me...America "is becoming lazy?"

How about America has been the laziest, fat assed, slack jawed, jack ass, laughing stock of the whole civilized world for a nearly over a quarter of a century.

Wake up you stupid slack jawed assholes. You slumbering scum.

Want To Know How The Heartland Thinks?

Oh, those decent Christian people who hold life so very sacred.

Really? Have a look at how some of them are talking about it.

http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=103002&mid=728332#M728332

Imagine if any of these people were suddenly aware of the shame they should feel for being glad a human being was murdered in cold blood in a church.

Or is that human sacrifice for them?

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:13 PM

Chicken Ragu..

What chicken shit recipes today?

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:21 PM

Hypocrite

O'Reilly get in a lather about abortion, but he doesn't seem to give a damn about babies that are born. He doesn't want the government to spend money making sure the baby and mom has food and shelter and medical care.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:21 PM

Get O'Reilly's sponsors to pull out!

That's the way to fight O'Reilly. Call out the Corporate underwriters of O'Reilly's show (are you reading this, Keith and Rachel?) Get letter-writing campaigns going. Have celebs question their corporate suits if they also sponsor O'Reilly's hate show. Have stockholders bring up initiatives on the proxies. Amp up the pressure on the money men. Threaten product boycotts.

Maybe each thing individually can be dismissed, but together I'd bet the suits would rather exit the kitchen than stand the heat.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:27 PM

It's time

To indict Bill O on aiding and abetting Murder 1 or at least violation of the Civil Rights laws.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:30 PM

Fox fucks you people and just keeps feedin' you beans...

..and you eat it all up cos you saw it all on your goddamn awful gospel TV screens...

O'reilly's campaign against the murdered doctor

As far as I know, women still have a choice in this country. Mr. Reilly, you do your cause no favors by inciting people to acts of hate. I guess you can stop calling for his death. Proud of your behavior?

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:34 PM

O'Reilly

Ok, this is ridiculous. Liberals are insane.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:41 PM

O'Reilly is just as guilty as if he pulled the trigger himself

His words, in part, advocated murder by his constant barrage of smear and vilification. Inevitably one of his many supporters that are on the very fringe of psychopathic behavior would eventually take the law into their own hands.

O'Reilly, I have very strong words for you. You have been guilty many times of heinous crimes against individuals. Your words do not protect this country, your words put fear and terror in this country and for that, you are no more an American then Bin Laden is.

I hope some good comes out of this by you realizing your way is not the American way, but rather the terror way.

Peace

Jim

A Campaign is needed against O'Reilly to be prosecuted and his sponsors to drop his show

Here is the U.S. Attorney General office website. I've just sent a email to Attorney General Eric Holder office asking them to look into prosecuting Bill O'Reilly. I hope Dr. Tiller family seek an attorney and sue Fox News and Bill O'Reilly for millions of dollars. We also need to lobby Fox News sponsors to drop Bill O'Reilly show.
