Of course O'Reilly id the bad guy here. Not the aborter, or the murderer, it is the CONSERVATIVE who is at the root of this evil. The only thing the author did not do was blame Bush. You're slipping.

The guilty shall be jduged, and I think we are all guilty. I know I feel that way today. I live outside of Wichita Kansas and although I never met Dr. Tiller I have considered him a heroic figure, someone willing to weather physical violence, legal persecution and public ridicule to help women. I have jokingly told my friends that I hope they don't try to overturn Roe v. Wade because I would then have to march and I am intrisically too lazy to march for a cause. Shame on me.

But it's more than just what happened yesterday. Why do we tolerate people like Randal Terry, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity etc., etc. ad nauseum? These people and their organizations CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE DENIABILTIY. Hate is hate, and hate speech leads to violence. People that are "liberal, progressive" HAVE TO become more active in closing this type of rhetoric down. I don't know how we are going to accomplish that but it must be done.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW WE CAN ORGANIZE AND MOBILIZE AGAINST THESE HATEMONGERS?

I don't know much about O'Reilly or his campaign as outlined in this article, but I do know the difference between right and wrong and killing another human being is wrong... totally wrong. Killing a convicted prisoner is wrong, killing in war is wrong, and killing unborn babies is wrong. Someday our descendants will look back at us and wonder in awe how they could have descended from such barbarians. Pro-abortion advocates are cloaking murder in a politically correct phrase - "a woman's right to choose." While you're weeping for Tiller, please also weep for the thousands of children slaughtered at his hand; weep for lives never lived; weep for humanity, that we defend our right to kill each other. Being forced to bear an unwanted child may be unfair to the mother, but life is not fair. One dies so that other may live..

Somewhere I read that all men (includes women and children) have the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness - where did I read that?

I also remember these rights were endowed by nature's God.

Somewhere else I read that Scott Peterson went to jail for taking the right of his unborn child (ie. its life)

Now I read that the good doctor took the rights (lives) of multiple unborn children and got paid for it instead of going to jail and then went to church.

So is this is how it works?

If you do not have an MD behind your name you cannot terminate unborn life...

But if you have an MD behind your name you can terminate the rights of the unborn and get rich and fellowship with God.

Can any of you clear up my confusion - how would you explain this to nature's God who grants the rights so endowed?

O'Reilly et al exploit the 1st Amendment to incite violence. They are a danger to others. Limbaugh is viewed as a clown even by a large number of his vans. I've never heard anyone try to jusitify a point by citing Limbaugh. O'Reilly on the other hand is taken seriously by some otherwise intelligent people. They all behave without regard for the consequences of their actions and are equally guilty of the crimes that result. They know that they are targeting an unstable populus group and that they will get away with it. Without adverse consequences to themselves, there is no deterring the vileness of their behavior.

The FCC like other regulatory agencies doesn't regulate. The only thing that stops them is sponsers who are afraid of backlash. In other words, money is the motivator and money is the only deterant. I'd much rather have a detainee in my neighborhood than I would Bill O'Reilly.

The left hate speech machine--mindless hate on Salon--u guys shoud go back and check yourselves-- u could be indicted for murder..for inciting O' Reilly's death..Boy, is there murder in your hearts..You guys want a gun!! How far would u guys go..I'd be wary.. we may have murderer on this site..

I never witnessed O Reilly inciting murder on this Doctor ..all I hear is a lot emotional bluster which amounts to nothing ..unless action taken..

Gotta save those babies, you know -- doesn't matter what happens to them once they come out -- but gotta save 'em. Doesn't matter if they're abandoned, molested, abused, neglected, exploited, or otherwise victimized, does it?

And there's nothing like murder to ensure that innocent lives are saved. As Mr. Olbermann so eloquently puts it, "It's geninus, I tells ya'!"

Susan Wood is spot-on -- there's only one way to hit Billo, where it hurts most -- the wallet.

Others have lost their shows for inflammatory comments which seem to pale in comparison to Billo's rants against Dr. Tiller -- O'Reilly deserves no less.

...then you'll reduce the size of O'Reilly's audience to that of Keith Olbermann!

Boycott anything that is advertised in the MSM.

The MSM gave us the wars and the lies and the phony elections, stop buying stuff from people that pay the bills.

If it is advertised on TV, chances are you don't need it and you can get it cheaper from someone who makes it better and who doesn't advertise on TV.

Buy from smaller companies.

O’Reilly is sometimes unfairly compared to a demagogue. He embodies the conservative soul. He speaks courageously for its values. It is a moral politics he preaches. Destruction is for him heroic, instantaneous and flows uninterrupted from the depths of his soul. To postpone inflicting an injury, however small when the opportunity presents itself would be cowardly. He has the courage to deplore justice, reason, responsibility or planning. He will not brook compassion or tolerance. The highest aspiration of his bully hood is nothing less than sainthood. His strength is in his unwavering faith in brutality. He is secure in the certain knowledge that his supporters will kill and his enemies will not. His is the church of guns, knives, bombs, torture chambers and death. His God promotes him because he knows what his God wants. No budget for war can be too large or budget for peace too small in this dystopia. O’Reilly is the prophet of hate and his message is this; the only sure route to his heaven requires that we reduce THIS world to a living hell.
