...claiming to be a soldier in order to borrow someone else's percieved "Glory."
You will never find someone claiming to be a bin-man on the internet, it is always something they consider to have some glamour to it.
And you will always find that the real deal doesn't mention their profession, mainly because on the internet every douchebag is a soldier with a science degree practicing law while teaching at a major university.
Back on topic: What O'Reilly said is unnacceptable, I think he was responsible in part for the murder. However, I don't think there are grounds to prosecute here, I think he managed to avoid a direct call to violence, and his free speech is protected - as it should be.
While I disagree strongly with his words, I think he is an unethical lying sack of shit, and I would support a call to boycott his sponsors, legal action would come uncomfortably close to government censorship. A leftwing McCarthy era would be no more desireable than the rightwing one was.
Greetings you all, tis a newcomer to your little cubby hole on the webb, but with some of the letters I just have read I can just say how sweet it is, for once there isn't some chicken shit mod hanging on every vowel or descriptive noun one use's to entertain the thought of dehumanizing ignorance and those who practice hard at being that way.
I am a Warren Magnuson democrat, centrist if you will, earned my rights to that claim in 1968, Daley Square, Chicago Democratic Convention, carry the boot heel marks on the jaw for my efforts, although Im double down sure there were a few of Daleys Blue clad buffoons that learned that the boot heel goes both ways, like in the crotch,so it was all pretty well evened out at the end.
At any rate excuse the poor punctuation as I'm only useing 1 1/2 hands on a key board thumb and forefinger reconstructed after moto accident, 82 Shovel Head, Superglide FXE limited edition.
AND yea it still purrs on down the road after being rebuilt and modified.
Aint no spring chicken either mind you, but not mentally incontinent either.
At any rate the hour is late and this bag of twisted up Sasquatch hair has got to go nity nite.
Oh and one more thing I do give as well as I take, so the don't Tread On Me flag is at full mast, flapping in a brisk Northerly created by my big mouth.
I think what we're looking for here is:
King Henry II: "Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?"
from Becket.
You're kidding, aren't you? He is a Conservative you know?
Bill O'Reilly: accessory to murder before the fact. Enough said.
It is no secret O'Reilly took issue with abortionist Tiller's violent campaign against unborn children. Now it appears that O'Reilly will be vilified for having exposed the evil acts that Tiller orchestrated in collusion with corrupt government officials. The harm that Tiller was responsible for, the countless innocent lives lost, will be glossed over and Tiller will be held up as some sort of heroic figure rather than the hired killer he was.
While I do not condone what was done to Tiller, I will be honest and say that I find it hard to grieve for a person who profited immensely from his daily livelihood, i.e. snuffing out the lives of healthy unborn human beings.
It is the height of arrogance to suggest that Tiller was some sort of champion of women's rights. He was a hired killer who participated in a ruthless vendetta that was every bit as violent as his death. I find it interesting that there was no equal lamentation for the innocent lives he took, violently ripping unborn children from the womb.
But I suppose all that will be glossed over in the effort to deify Tiller. He amassed wealth and comfort for himself and his family. He saw a profit to be made and he took advantage of it. How ironic that those who turned a blind eye towards the millions of babies who died before being born are now wringing their hands in sympathy for the killer of those infants.
The man is a hatemonger, capitalizing on fear and anger as his currency of exchange. sadly, there will always be a "space' for folks of this ilk.
His behavior is despicable, and his ethics, which one may assume he is quite proud of, are craven at best. He, like Limbaugh and Coulter, make substantial incomes trading in hate and fear.
Ultimately, these folks don't really care about the core issue, I suspect. It is about capitalizing on fear.
O'Reilly will now send his goons off to ambush the author at his home or workplace, after claiming that he (again) is being unfairly victimized by liberal "hate sites" and the "vile" left-wing media. Glenn Beck will make no attempt to distance himself from the "States Rights," anti-government, anti-tax, pro-Militia crowd of religious zealots he attempts to incite, excite and inflame each night. And so it goes.
...doing a job that was legal. He was not an elected official; he was not a celebrity.
If O-Reilly, or anyone else, disagrees with the law, he has every right to fight the LAW, even to rally people to fight THE LAW. The legislature is there for that purpose.
Naming ANY private citizen clearly serves NO purpose other than to itimidate, i.e. terrorize that person, his family, & others following the law. There's nothing civil about it.
I would ask O'Reilly what other purpose his bully-pulpiut served in this case other than to harrass a private citizen & dset him up for target practice.
It was cowardly & O'Reilly should have been stopped by the network from targeting a man for doing a LEGAL job with which some people disagree.
You can call anything free speech. That doesn't make it right or responsible.
When so many people are deluded by liberal thinking. O'Reily is no more responsible for this man's murder, than the writer of the article is responsible for your closed minded diatribes. We have had this "do whatever you want, just don't hurt anyone" attitude in this country for far too long. That is why we are doomed to trudge down the road to socialism. Bill has one thing dead on! If all you people are carrying the same thoughts and behaviors on judgement day, then may God have mercy on your souls!
