    A co-worker just railed on me at work . . .

about how glorious the Republican party is, never in fault for anything . . . I stated that the Republican party has been tainted by Evangelical Christians and their fanatical beliefs. Then the attack came. I didn't know that this was her path.

I am clergy of a secular church but did not say so as that was like lighter fluid. Just listening, not saying anything, I eventually asked her if she knew who William F. Buckley, Jr. was. She stated that he was the father of the conservative movement. I asked her if she was aware that he considered Evangelical Christians a "fringe group" and destructive to the party. More ranting. I then asked about the global warming issue. And she stated it all was a Democratic lie for political reasons, only. Enough said. I guess if I looked gay I would have been physically attacked.
