Response II

"...that all men need Christ for their salvation -- all men, including the Jews."

This arrogant statement truly pissed me off! Here is the penultimate example of religion at its worst. No different then the Taliban. But why get exercised when the entire premise of organized (or disorganized) religion in general is just a different slant on this same riff - the my way or the highway school of belief. The difference being the Catholics out you on the wheel and stretched you to death or just burned you at the stake for being a heretic while the Taliban just lopped your head off. There is little difference since whatever direction you take the result is the same - my way is the only way for salvation and if you don't agree you're dead meat.

--Insufferable arrogance

Okay, this is one is easy. Let’s work backwards.

Catholics outed people on the wheel and burned them at the stake over 500 years ago. The Taliban chopped people’s heads off a few years ago. Judaism slaughtered innocent woman and children – oh, maybe an hour ago.

I am not sure what the entire premise of organized religion is, but I know enough about Catholicism. Let me educate you.

Catholicism is founded on the belief that Jesus is the Son of God. Catholicism started as a Jewish sect. The Jews and others who believed in Jesus became Catholics, the Jews who did not stayed Jews. From a religious point of view, the statement you quoted makes perfect sense. Just like when Buddhist Bikhus say that if you do not take refuge and follow the 8-Fold Path, you will stay stuck in Samsara, and will possibly be re-born in a Hell Realm. Does this mean Buddhists are no different than the Taliban?

It’s called religion. That is how it works. We each have our own paths to Salvation. What modern humanists don’t understand is that it is O.K. to believe in something someone else does not believe in. That does not make you a bad person. Catholics do not start wars based on their beliefs. Catholics do not spit on clerics of other religions, or steal land from Muslim and Christian families because God told them to. Jews do that. The reason Jews are singled out in the above quote is because Catholics regard Jews as their spiritual foundation. In Catholic doctrine, the Jewish people laid the groundwork and set the (spiritual) stage on Earth for the appearance of Christ. They are special to us, because they are the closest to us. So instead of listening to the racist hateful Jewish press, ask a Catholic Priest. Then you will get the truth about what Catholics believe.

My dear Steele The First

On March 21 there will be an anti-war march on the Pentagon. I urge you to attend. You will find many Jews there, along with Moslems, Christians, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus and many others, ALL good people and ALL opposed to the war and ALL opposed to the targeting of civilians my military force.

When people are not at war with each other HATRED becomes a useless and annoying appendage.

Some of the most eloquent voices against war have been Jewish ones and when you tar Judaism you also tar its siblings, Christianity and Islam for they are all variants of the ancient Hebrew religion.

People have also spit on Jews and Moslems as well as Christians for none of these religions have come up with a solution for stupid hateful assholes who look to their relations with contempt and suspicion.

You wouldn't want people to hold what the Mafia did against Catholics so please don't make the same mistake with Zionists and Jews. It is just a sub-culture of the criminal element and all populations seem to have that. Some are more successful than others. In this country they are called Republicans and Democrats.

My dear paulpsd7

If you speak the truth they will call you insane.

Yes, I am confused. Why, in the 21st century is war OK? Why is bombing innocent civilians OK? Why is persecuting people because of religious differences and killing them OK?

Get a copy of the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" - see the shot of the Jew and the Moslem while all the representatives get lectured by Klaatu. Robert Wise put that scene in there for a reason. Rupert Murdoch and 20th Century Fox excluded that scene and that sentiment from the remake because to them, that was anti-semitism.

More people will watch and remember the new movie than the old one and that is for the reason of selling more war.

Those who conspire to manipulate and exploit others rely on your anti-conspiracy nonsense. For the authorites the only conspirators are common criminals and terrorists because no one else would ever do such a thing and that LIE doesn't wash with anyone who isn't stupid.

The war in Afghanistan is the result of a conspiracy to reestablish the opium business, Iraq to get us to fight as a oroxy for Israel so they could eliminate westernized secular competition in the mideast and permit for the expansion of "greater Israel" and it was THEIR intelligence sources which sold us the bogus information and until it became apparent that they were LIES, the neocons would always cite Israel's valuable intelligence, those adjustable rate mortgaes were another scam brought to the level of a national conspiracy to defraud home buyers and gut the economy, and both bailouts are also conspiracies to loot our treasury and enrich those who have already ripped us off.

If you wish to believe all of that was random chance and happenstance go right ahead and be stupid.

Yeah, everyone who believes in conspiracies is a nutjob unless that conspiracy involves BOXCUTTERS to bring down the twin towers and bring our nation into a state of fascism and bankruptcy.

I bet you think Obama is liberal and anti-war. Noconspiracy to mislead the voters there, either, right?

You anti-conspiracy types are mush brains. Alex Baldwin needs to break out a straw and suck some of that grey matter slurry out while he entertains your nether eye with his tentacles.
