Yeah, just get me that magic bullet so I can eat all the Big Macs I am told I want, and suffer not at all, now or later. If we are what we eat, we are in BIG trouble. Don't read the ingredient list on those frozen meatballs; this is stuff we ought to be sending to the Taliban (they won't eat the meatballs)! But Big Pharma will take care of me; right? After all, it's rolled at least four solutions in search of problems out the door just since last September! And each drug costs only $1,000 per month. I know, it's ridiculous to allow insurance companies to make the health decisions instead of the doctors. But what if WE made those decisions (daily)? If "health care" means patching the falling wall, we cannot win this fight. If, on the other hand, we build a new wall out of the wind, then we have a fighting chance. Oh, gotta go; the pizza arrives in ten minutes. . .
"1.) A conservative estimate of the number of innocent people killed (not including militants) by Bush's wars so far. 2.) From a humanitarian perspective a figure which dwarfs all the other figures given in this article.
100,000 people is roughly equivalent to:"
Is that less humane than the 567,000 Iraqi children under five who died as a result of Clinton's sanctions?

If you view the video, by "it," Albright is referring to disarming Saddam.
BTW, bin Laden cited those deaths in 1997 and said he would send Clinton "messages with no words" in response.
Under Clinton,In 2000 Millinium a terrorist plot was prevneted that was going to occur at LA airport from terrorist stopped at the U.s. Canadian border.
Yes, there was an attack at the in U.s before, but they handled without alarming the public every week. Terrorism was exploited by the Bush administration to expand presidenital powers and justify the pro war faction.
Why is It U.s. ctizen NEVER cared a hoot all the terrorist attacks against middle east populations where THOUSANDS up THOUSANDS have been killed over the decades, but when they hit the U.S.and killed UNDER 3,000 people, the Bush administration went into a frenzy of 'terrorism' and fanned it's flames? More people are killed every day in auto accidents that terrorists attacks. That attack had NOTHING to do with Iraq. The Bush administration used it as an excuse to attack Iraq.
"Given that Clarke's goal in 2004 was the election of John Kerry, if Clarke really believed that PDB was important or that we had specific information about an imminent al Qaeda attack, he would have certainly said so."
Well, given that Condoleezza Rice's stated goal was to get George W. Bush RE-ELECTED can we then charge that if she believed the PDB was that important she certainly would NOT have said so. Give me a break.
What the heck does that have to do with anything? If you're, essentially, going to charge Clarke with political bias because his "goal in 2004 was the election of John Kerry" I'm charging Condi Rice with the same thing with regards to Bush.
If not, why even include that ridiculous non sequitur?
Do you believe Richard Clarke was lying when he said the importance of the August 6 PDB was "overblown"? How about when Richard Ben-Veniste agreed with Condoleezza Rice when she said it contained no specifics.
"An allegation that al Qaeda had been considering ways to hijack American planes to win the release of operatives who had been arrested in 1998 and 1999."
Pardon me, but this only highlights your gross ignorance on this topic.
According to a Washington Post article on the PDB, "What emerged was a primarily historical analysis that talked about bin Laden's methods of operation and mentioned events in 1997, 1998 and 2001. One mention of hijacking was in reference to a proposed plot to take over an airliner and demand the release of an al Qaeda operative or Sheik Omar Ab-del Rahman, who is serving a life sentence for plotting to blow up the Holland and Lincoln tunnels in New York in 1993."
That information was from the December 4, 1998 PDB. As I noted above, all acton on that PDB was concluded by February 1999. That PDB did not say that al Qaeda planned to use airliners as missiles, which would not be an effective way to gain the release of a prisoner.
According to the 9/11 Commission, after investigation, the FBI could find no information to support the hijack threat, and the FAA alert at the New York area airports ended on January 31, 1999. Why would the Bush administration take action on a PDB--based on an uncorrobated report--that was nearly three years old when the Clinton administration concluded action on that PDB before February 1999?
God gave you a brain. Use it.
Perhaps this has all been part of some 'fantastic plan' that will benefit this country; as in a Twilight Zone episode.
Weather President Clinton was honest (or not), or weather or not "fair trade" agreements, welfare, mortgage loans etc...... were/are part of why we are where we are at,
...the preoccupation of a blue dress seemed to be blinding.
A technicality: "lying under oath" about a private matter (sex) was cause for impeachment.
Who would have listened to him about ANYTHING at that time?
Our current President was RE-elected(!)
Question:
Have we learned anything from the the previous four (4)presidential elections?
"She should have been able to put this together. And, had she been doing her job, she would have."
Let's have some fun. Let's pretend that it is August 6, 2001 and that you are Condi Rice. You have just read the August 6 PDB. What would you do?
to tell us all what a good little Pres Dubya was. He read books! He kept us safe! He was good! No, really he was good!
"Under Clinton,In 2000 Millinium a terrorist plot was prevneted that was going to occur at LA airport from terrorist stopped at the U.s. Canadian border."
The Clinton administration did nothing to prevent that attack. Ressam was caught by alert custom agents who noticed he was acting suspiciously. Richard Clarke in his book suggests that Ressam was caught because he sent out message to police departments that read, "Be on heightened alert for suspicious activity." However, according to Michael Chapman, one of the customs agents who arrested Ressam, "We were on no more alert than we’re always on. That is a matter of public record."
