"But blaming Clinton for an attack that killed American citizens in Tanzania in 1998 while simultaenously exonerating Reagan for an attack on an ARMED MARINE BARRACKS that killed Ameicans, and ignoring the number of Americans that have been taken hostage or killed in terror attacks overseas under Bush is downright ingenuous."

I was in the Marines at that time. Except for a few on duty, those Marines were asleep in their bunks.

As far as the embassy bombings in 1998, I already noted that an al Qaeda member walked into the US embassy in Kenya (the attack was not limited, as you suggest, to Tanzania--in fact, the Nairobi bombing was much wrose) and disclosed the bombing plot months before it occurred. He was ignored. Madeleine Albright also ignored Ambassador Prudence Bushnell's pleas for more security in Nairobi.

And here's something Salon.com will never acknowledge: Those bombings in Africa, the bombing of the USS Cole, and 9/11 were all a result of Clinton's policies vis-a-vis Iraq. You can read this for yourself in bin Laden's 1997 interview with CNN. See the last page at
