    Wrong

    "President Bush inherited a peaceful, prosperous America." But that a faction of Islamic extremists were plotting to attack for several years and successfully did. How can you possibly try to gloss over that?? That such an enormous cataclysm such as 9/11 occurred eight months into his presidency. That teaser line to this essay is now well-acknowledged as a myth.
