The US Auto Makers do not deserve a bailout

Here's a news flash for the people who wrote this article: The American public prefers purchasing foreign cars because they are better designed and far better quality. They don't like throwing taxpayer money on industries that produce products that are junk. Why is it that in the annual Consumer Reports Automobile issue American cars always receiving the lowest ratings for quality? Is that the fault of our government? Is it the fault of the American taxpayer?

When an industry cannot produce a quality product the people want to purchase they deserve to go under. Yes, there will be job loss but more foreign manufacturers will open up plants here which will result, in the long run, in more jobs for sales, service, and the large aftermarket parts and supplies.

The world will not end nor our economy disappear if we cannot purchase a Buick, Oldsmobile, or Chevy. Fund technologies of the future, not the past, with taxpayer money.
