Why were these same politicians SO free with 700 billion for Wall Street(elite America)but NOT so free with 14 billion for Detroit(mainstreet America)especially when reasonable, very do-able concessions were made by the UAW? Wouldn't it be GOOD for the Big 3 to climb back in the saddle making better, more affordable cars? Wouldn't that be good for America? Wouldn't that help create more intense competition between ALL the auto manufacturers thereby creating safer, better quality, yet less-expensive cars? Wouldn't that help retain and even CREATE JOBS?!
Apparently that's what these good ol' republican southern boys are afraid of, or as the article states, it's political payback, or both. Either way, it's pretty obvious that once AGAIN the republicans are NOT looking out for the good of the USA, but only for their own self interests.
