So what's in this for Hillary?

Taking charge of the State Department will give Clinton more power than hanging around the Senate -- even if she does have a history with her new boss.

My dear eyesXwideXopen,

There are two lines in the document which have misaligned text. Word processors do not do that. Photoshop does that.

If Hawaii uses Photoshop to lay out COLBs then it must be genuine.

The birth date is higher than the rest of the line.

OAHU is higher than HONOLULU and the second HONOLULU is lower than the first.

Try doing that in MS Word.

Clintons Destroyed Party Didn't Revolutionize It

How about this - - the Clintons destroyed the Democtratic Party by "triangulization" and made it Republican lite. Clintons bjs allowed Bush to get into office. The pair should have left the stage long ago, if they had any shame, which neither does. There is no "left" side national politicians serving progressives in this country, anti-war or otherwise, except politicians giving lip service during the election for votes, what counts to the "govern from the center" right Democratic Party is getting elected and business as usual and "bipartisanship" with the right wing that trods all over them when the shoe is on the other foot. Our economy reflects the years of Bush-Clinton. Both families will do quite well regardless, the rest of us face a great depression and food shortages to come over the next few years. But LOVE AND ADORE them, and rock star Obama (whose choices for cabinet speak volumes about "change" phoniness),if you must, perhaps you have cocktailed with them, its nice to mingle with our great celebrity "public servants". What a joke.

So we're being a tad more subtle with the Hillary

is a power mad shrew theme. What a bore.

How about this? The Clintons revolutionized the Party and laid down policy that'll dominate our agenda for the forseeable future. Every Democrat owes them a huge debt, and Hillary and Bill will bring their global popularity to a critical task.

Gag Me

Please gag me with a spoon as to all these people wanting to "serve us" garbage - - if she wants to serve us she would work in a restaurant. All these people Clinton, Obama, McCain and all the rest love POWER and having their asses kissed - - that is why they are in "politics".

They love to see themselves on television and to be lit up and made celebrities and fawned over. "Power is the greatest aphrodisiac" ala Henry "brought u the killing fields" Kissinger. They do not serve us, they take our money in forced taxes, wage illegal wars, live hi on the hog, and lie to us. The view us a plebes and themselves as the "elite", Bush the brush cutter included. How much "brush" will cut after January. He sure "served" us too.

They are controlled by bankers, foreign and domestic, and could care little if at all about the average tax payer they proclaim, earnestly, as "John" or "Jane" six pack blah blah.

The country has been devastated and looted. If any one of them was a patriot they would speak out forcefully as to said looting and point at the Federal Reserve, banksters and Wall Streeter fraudsters who did same - - but darling wouldn't that ruin the next great Washington or NY cocktail party where they mingle with these, their true constituents.

The country is broke and there will be large scale hunger/famine on the streets within the next two years with the military (20,000 now slated) on the streets to deal with us - - those being "served". How anyone can talk of "service" by such as Clinton who has made $100 million w/Bill shilling dictators and every low life rich cretin in the world since his residency in the house of horrors on PA Ave. - - with a straight face is more than I can take - - course our "journalists" have been busy "serving" us too . . . . just look where we are today. Thanks for the "service".

THANK YOU!

Thanks both to nana4g and to the editors for choosing her letter to highlight.

One of my best friends was married to a physician who was part of a group that Hillary visited when she was formulating her health care plan. Like most doctors who had been scared out of their wits by the anti socialized medicine propaganda, he and his colleagues hated her. After she went out of her way to visit their facility and listen to their concerns, they were shocked by how intelligent, knowledgeable and practical she was and how willing she was to consider their point of view. The nurses and patients' representatives also felt like this.

As nana4q so eloquently said, Hillary has done many things during her life to help others without regard to personal benefit. I first heard of her when I was living in Texas and Hillary was spearheading the reform of Arkansas' dismal educational system. I could not believe she was able to get corporate bigwigs like Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, to support a corporate tax in order to improve the education in that state. I have been a fan of both Clintons since that time and have been appalled by how easily so many Democrats have been taken in by the media's hatred of them. When will we wake up to the fact that the media will never approve of anyone who is from the hinterlands, regardless of their abilities? Why are so many of us willing to let the likes of bozos like Chris Matthews control what they believe?

all about the power...

It's all about the power in politics. Hillary didn't win the nomination and as soon as she learned that she all the sudden was Obama's best friend because she knew he would be the only one who could give her more power. She wants to be president so she is weaseling her was into the inside with liberal illuminati and will probably make another go at it in 2012.

Only Hope

It's a delight Mike to see such a level headed approach. Last night the MSM was full of the usual "I guess their rivalry wasn't what it was built up to be" when it was the MSM who played to the bleachers all along.

What will Hillary do as SOS? The rest all seems pro-forma. Will she settle for a lot of the status quo, especially now that she is riding the wings of Obama's appeal to a new generation not necessarily enmeshed as the last.

I find it ironic the press has focused on her appointment in the Arab world, assuming her allegiance to Israel, while the Israelis fail to take into account the fact that her husband made a last ditch effort in the matter, which may well have been the closest anybody got to confronting the right wing of that nation.

Time will tell, and men and women of conscience can only hope.
